Aalyah Del Rosario, Angelica Velez and Maddie Cox visiting LSU this weekend.
Kim better whip out the bunt cakes and fried ice cream to real these 3 gals in and complete this miraculous turn around within 2 years. She's already out recruited Nikki Fargas in less than 12 months LOL . Imagine these players with Mikayla and Flaugee !!

Lord if I were the coach I would just feed the recruits as much as possible. You can't lose with that strategy (especially Crawfish season)

Boggles my mind still how much Fargas struggled recruiting. Van Chancellor recruited well actually when he was hired after Pokey but he was very past his prime when hired and could never do much since Fowles graduated. Fargas had success early on with a lot of good players she inherited (Plaissance, Jeanne Kenny and company) and had a few very good years but never ended up winning a single NCAAT game with a roster 100% hers. She seems to be happy in her new role with the Aces. I saw an interview with her done a couple months ago and she mentioned coaching became draining to her and felt things worked out. I imagine she is extremely happy to have more time with her family.

Good scheduling since LSU (football) plays Southern University at home.

Im gonna laugh out loud! If Tennessee misses out on these recruits.
Maybe I’m a Debbie downer but I’m not super confident in landing any of these 3 this weekend.

Texas hosting Alabama for football today yielded unofficial visits from 2024 Justice Carlton and 2025 Aaliyah Chavez, as well as a few more from national champion Cy Fair Elite club team, including 2023 verbal commitment, Gisella Maul.

Apparently, 2023 Madison Booker was on her official visit.

Hmm. TX got beaten by historic program Alabama after almost pulling out a great upset . I have a feeling history will repeat itself in our TX matchup. :)

Bama needed help from the refs.

Scary is right. Impressive for the Cy Fair AAU program too.

Coach Purcell has two good visit weekends in a row. He just needs to close the deal.

Terrific grab by Virginia, I believe she visited TN, Baylor and one other school recently

I loved Tina Thompson as a player, matter of a fact she was my favorite WNBA player during her time as a Comet, but she was a disaster for UVA.

I'm happy to see that UVA is heading to becoming a good program again!

One of Thompson's (many) failings was her inability to attract players from Virginia and/or traditional UVA scouting areas. Signing local resident Sam Brunelle out of the portal and successfully recruiting Mo Johnson are solid first steps in trying to establish a footprint. If Sam and Mo can produce for Coach Mox, that will only help. Good luck to all three!

UVA has the potential to be a powerhouse. The academics there are incredible and Charlottesville is a great college town.

Coach Mox has also received Olivia McGhee's verbal who is from Mineral, VA but is playing for IMG Academy. So, she's doing work. Just needs someone to play in the paint.

Virginia hasn't really been good/average in women's hoops since Dawn Staley graduated back in the early 90's. I'd be curious to know how many Sweet Sixteens they've made in the last 30 years; can't be more than one or two. So, before they can become a "powerhouse" program (again), they first have to return to being a good/average program.

When it comes to women's athletic programs as a whole, I'm just not sure UVa has made the (financial) commitment that other programs in the ACC have made over the last several decades. They have not been good at hoops, volleyball, or softball. They won a national title in swimming recently. I believe they've been fairly good in tennis and soccer. I don't follow lacrosse or field hockey, so maybe they excel in those sports.
