Good thing we don't lose recruits over stuff like this. As I was told recently, everything in He Got Game was total fiction.

This explains some of our recruiting woes over the last couple of years.

We brought a Dairy Bar to a hooker fight.

Some schools send in hookers to seal a recruitment. We send @Chief00 to close the deal. Advantage us.

The other thing is the alleged assistant wasn't a recruiting position, is it the norm for the Director of Basketball Operations to be escorting (pardon the pun) around recruits on official visits.

Might not be the norm for most, but I suppose any staff member can show recruits around campus.....if that's all they're doing.

Blows my mind that recruits still cite (maybe untruthfully) academics when picking ACC or bgx schools over us. What a bunch of .

I helps me that I keep in mind that recruits are teenagers, they mean well, but well. . . . . . . they're kids.

They way you been posting in this thread I raised an eyebrow at 'dp'. Glad you quoted dogpause. LOL

I've just been me, mau. I mean people are leaving some posts wide open for some fun what can I say? Some threads are wide open for more fun, I mean who posts about college girls in the stands of a baseball game? Then I get criticized for my marriage because I see a decent looking brunette in a doorway while others are waiting for BigFoot? We're going to hell here I tell you Kita.

I've been to DIII schools in the sticks of Maine and NY and I'm not sure I would want to buy any of such services supplied locally.

Would this be called "artisanal escorts" ?

Se x has been a known marketing tool since the dawn of mankind and thus it is no surprise that these shenanigans have been taking place around big time college basketball and football programs for as long as anyone can remember, especially because this is college and we are talking about 18 year old boys and girls. The difference here is if it was actually paid for directly or indirectly by the university, its coach and/or a know sponsor/booster. That's not just a NCAA violation, that's a crime (at least outside of Nevada). Just ask Elliot Spitzer. If the NCAA can find receipts, and there are always receipts, Pitino will be going down (and Calipari will suddenly be the new coach at some NBA team).

Louisville also has to keep an eye on the Yum Center too as it is slowly making its way through bankruptcy court and several other court issues. If the agency that does control the arena does go bankrupt (its $300 million in debt), will U Louisville, who is primary tenant, become responsible for at least a portion of that dept. if so, there goes Louisville's astronomical basketball profit margins.

There needs to be a text message or something from him directly for there to be any confirmation he knew.

That being said, coaches also surely have things that they tell their staff not to inform them of, simply so they have plausible deniability. So, it's likely he knew that there were things he didn't want to "know about."

I think it was @upstater who has discussed the Yum Center many times regarding the inaccurate reporting regarding Louisville's athletic numbers.

Any why will Calipari be leaving. Powell was probably a Kentucky plant.

If the Yum center goes bankrupt, U. Louisville isn't on the hook. Rather, its contract with the Yum evaporates, and the next contract will be on other terms.

On Monday, Louisville coach Rick Pitino again denied that he had any knowledge that a former staffer allegedly paid for recruits and players to have sex with escorts.

"Not myself, not one player, not one trainer, not one assistant, not one person knew anything about any of this," the Hall of Fame coach told ESPN on Monday. "If anyone did, it would have been stopped on a dime. Not one person knew anything about it."

Piton from 6 years ago: "When you have a problem, if you tell the truth, the problem becomes part of your past," he said. "If you lie, it becomes part of your future."

I think he should take his own advice.
