That's it...that's all I got. Ha!

Per Geno they will play this Saturday, but can't talk about it until afterwards.

Will be interesting to hear which opponent they play. I'm guessing Paige won't be playing since Geno said she's been practicing, but in limited capacity due to her thumb. (Although he says he's not worried about the injury) I'm guessing they will save her until regular season starts.

If it’s a scrimmage it’s a d1 opponent… I’m curious if it’s home or away. I’d imagine no further than the mid Atlantic. Maybe Virginia or Princeton?

I read that Tennessee may have had their "secret scrimmage" with Virginia, so I don't believe they would be eligible to play the Huskies. Of course, all of this is hearsay, so I'm not sure of anything. Besides, it's supposed to be a secret. LOL

I think you can have two secret scrimmages or exhibitions, no?

The men's team just had a secret scrimmage with Virginia. They did that last year as well.

I would think that Geno would want to see the first team play at least a few minutes together just to see chemistry opportunities. The fifth starter might be up in the air so you play the first four with a couple of options as the five to see how it looks. UConn is in a great situation with all the offense they have with their first four so the fifth could be a specialist depending on the opponent too.

What ever they do I would expect it to be a full speed exhibition of what they have. Too bad it won't be on TV.

Agreed. Was it last year’s scrimmaging where Ice got hurt?
Practice is correct...

UConn scrimmaged against UMass last year.
I'd guess that UConn will stay close to home this year too.

Teams are allowed to play two scrimmages with D1 opponents.

Geno said that, in a recent scrimmage, Caroline shot 8-9 from the arc. :)
This is the kind of good news that I love to hear. I predicted that Caroline was going to have a breakout year scoring this year since she is now healthy. I can't wait to see her play. Actually ,I can't wait to see the whole team play. This year is going to be a year that will be remember for a long time. GO HUSKIES!!!!!

Hmm. Maybe URI. They are picked to win the A10. They might be close and give some good competition.

So UConn has two exhibition games, Southern Connecticut State and Toronto Metropolitan and one scrimmage. I thought NCAA rules only allowed two exhibition games or scrimmages or a combo of both. Is the Toronto Met an exhibition or is it game considered a regular season game?

The official schedule shows the Toronto game like all our other regular season games while the SC St game is listed as an exhibition game.

I just looked up the NCAA rules so I would know what was allowed. They can have that secret scrimmage and also have 2 exhibition games that are not against an NCAA D1 team (the one Nov 4 and Toronto). The scrimmage Geno referred to where Carolyn hit 8-9 3 point shots was obviously just a team activity (practice). It is nice that they actually have at least 10 healthy bodies so 5 on 5 internal scrimage is possible :).
