94-47 . Trouble with getting in here late. I do think I'm inflating things with no thought to bench substitutions, but maybe Molly and Kyla will actually shoot!

As soon as I clicked on the thread, I was thinking in my head "88-45". Great minds think alike. I'll go with another score...

Side note - the UCF coach scheduled the team fairly well this season. She's a newer coach, so probably to build confidence, she played a soft schedule. They are currently 10-3 and 3rd in the AAC currently. They had a close loss to VA Tech, and losses to UC Davis and Buffalo. Their scoring has certainly improved as the season has progressed, but I think they will struggle to get to 45 against UCONN...

UCONN 86
UCF 42
I thought the side note is a good observation, though their losses were to pretty decent teams. This UCF team is probably a 4/5th place team in the AAC this year. My last comment is I don't see this UConn group beating decent teams by 40-50 points. Geno needs to build depth and will be using what he can when up by 30 points.

Central Florida Wins! ... The opening tip. After that it's all UCF , downhill, fast! The're excited. They think it's the giant slalom. But they don't ski well in Florida. The Uconn huskies pull their sled out of the way and survive. 87 - 48, Huskies. Danger with 10 assists, 2 turnovers.

UConn 85-38.

We are still potentially doomed! Semi-doomed? Whatever. Closer than expected.

UConn 80
USF 58

But yeah, I could be wrong.

89-43
Starters get some rest, otherwise UConn would break 100.

99-39 with Uconn bench playing 12 minutes in the 1st half and 16 minutes in the second half. Go Huskies!

Hopefully we are semi-healthy for the game. Do I think UCF has a chance - NO!

UConn 89 - UCF 42. At least 5 players in double figures. And I will be courtside!

This week's prognosticator is EDGAR CAYCE. He predicted the founding of the University of Central Florida, and that the school would become the largest in Florida. Today UCF is indeed its state's biggest with an enrollment exceeding 60,000 students. Asked about its women's sports program, Cayce went into a trance, stuck his finger in his left ear, but died before he could answer or remove his finger. However, we know that Cayce thought a school as large as UCF could certainly find 5 women to make up a basketball team. So: expect the Knights to put a quintet on the court for Sunday's game. Rad.

HUSKYD: a pregame INTEREST BALL.....thanks and Happy New Year

88-40

The second half will be a good 'n' as the BadAss Huskies again match Wooden.

[inspired by alex]
GUS: another chuckle and a pregame BARD BALL.....a first on that.......plus a thanks and Happy New Year

89-51 UConn. Keeping with the theme that our best players seem to rotate, I will predict that Naphessa takes over the game 26 pts, 12 rebounds 5 blocks and Butler has a break out game. 16 pts and 10 rebounds (5 offensive). I think Geno will curb KLS and Gabby's minutes a little (maybe 20 each) since they have really been physically beat up imho. Kia has an average game for her (12 pts 4 assists and 3 steals) Soniya gives her best performance 15 pts, 7 assists and 1 TO. Crystal Dangerfield, Molly and Kyla get into the act but nothing spectacular.

By the way, wouldn't it be cool if all the BY final score predictions for all games this season were stored and evaluated and a contest for the overall best predictor would be tracked (with a contest winner).:rolleyes::rolleyes:

EEB: wow....great specifics.....enuf for a first: a pregame OUT ON A LIMB BALL.....hoping it works for ya. By the way, I did try to come up with the overall stats you suggest here.....called on folks to weigh in with the wins thus far, but only got a few responses from our too-modest crew. Maybe you can elicit more here? Thanks and Happy New Year --- gotta go now with company on the way........Happy New Year to all
