You already know my view on Olander and Daniels so no need to repeat this. Unless the starters need rest or are in big foul trouble they should not be playing. Giffey should take their minutes because he is much more serviceable and is a positive on the court. You should just admit to yourself that I have been right the whole time with my breakdowns and analysis and move past this.

mau--what is it about AO's game that you dislike so much? I'm not going to accuse you of being a "hater" or anything like that, but it just seems like you've had a problem with him for a while. Correct me if I'm wrong.

While AO isn't a perfect player, I think huskymagic is correct in saying he should be playing over Olander. It would have been nice if Alex could have gotten more than four boards tonight, but he did a nice job on Fab when he was in, and eight points is a valuable contribution in only 22 minutes.

For what it's worth, I believe AO is a very solid defensive player. He's a solid shot blocker, he defends the perimeter pretty well for a guy his size, and he's a very good post defender. If there is one area he can improve it is avoiding those cheap fouls.

If we make a run down the stretch, AO will be a big part of that.

Agree 100% on the "Giffey over Daniels" sentiment. I think Daniels will develop into a good player down the line, because he's a decent athlete and seems to have a nice shot. But for this season he has been a huge disappointment. On offense his main role is to stand and the corner and shoot threes, and he doesn't shoot them at a very high clip. He got two good looks tonight and clanked both of them. I have to believe if that was Giffey on the court, he would have nailed at least one of them, because he's money when he's open.

Giffey is also a better defender, he's quicker, and it looks like he plays harder than Daniels. Quite simply, Giffey is the better player at the moment, and while Daniels probably has more potential, there is no reason for Daniels to be playing unless as you said, guys get into foul trouble.

No problem here champs and good question..............I like Alex, great kid, seemingly a hard working kid and fun too...........played a huge part last year in the NC and how can anyone forget that...........

Okay he hasn't come close this year to playing like Maui or tourney and how does that happen? I'm not sure because he works hard....I cannot agree at all on his defense as he is a huge liability....doesn't move his feet, help defense is non-existent, he looks to block too many shots and needs to choose when does startegically there are less easy putbacks (they all do that mind you not just alex) and he doesn't box out and for a guy that strong, athletic and tough he could own the boards if he wanted. He doesn't get rebounds because he doesn't want to - box out and it all changes. Not a great quick jumper from the floor so therefore use your strencgth and boxout and be Dennis Rodman..........it's not a coincidence who was in for crunchtime!!! I hope he starts paying like Alex of NC days starting Tuesday I like him, but for now he's getting the minutes he deserves................just one dopes opinion LOL

Absolutely agree with you champs. Honestly we are wasting a lot of time discussing daniels and olander when we have bigger fish to fry. Our rotation is perfect now just as I had hoped it would be and the starting lineup is exactly what we needed and our guys are becoming more and more comfortable with their roles.

Boatright, Lamb, Roscoe, Alex, and Andre should be our starting lineup for the rest of the year. Napier first off the bench and should play 25 mintues a game, and he can help us with passing, ball handling, and making some shots. Giffey should be the 7th and final guy that should play and that should be our final rotation.

I wrote my thoughts on this starting lineup in another thread, but I'll just point out that this team could do nothing against the zone, nothing at all at the start of the game. Blaney had to put Bazz in within about 2-3 minutes because it was so bad. This is a team that cannot pass the ball. It might be different against a man-to-man defense.
