Schools with men’s and women’s teams in the NCAA tournament

Likely to go to two or three at most soon. Only Connecticut and Michigan are favored on both sides in their next games. Duke women have LSU next, Iowa women are hanging by a thread in OT as I type this, and Iowa, Illinois, and Texas are all underdogs on the men's side.

You saw who UConn’s next opponent is?
Do you mean in the Elite 8 for the men (most likely Duke) or their Sweet 16 match up with Michigan State? Or for the women in the Sweet 16 (UNC)?

Two showdowns in the Elite 8 will make a maximum of two Universities with both men & women still dancing will be the Men's East bracket with Duke Vs. UConn, and the Women's Region 3 - Fort Worth with Texas Vs. Michigan should they all make the Regional Finals.

Go Huskies!!!

For us old folks, could someone please explain why every single player, men and women, are wearing tee shirts that say LOCK IT IN. What is the point? What if someone refused to wear it? I have to believe money is involved, somehow.

It’s not every single player that’s wearing a “Lock it in” t-shirt. But if a school has a sponsorship deal with Nike, many of which do, you’re wearing the t-shirt for warmups, etc.

It is Nike’s latest promotional ad campaign, and yes, money is involved. This goes all the way back to one of Nike’s original promotional campaigns, “Just do it.” Since then they have had several other campaigns that are designed to peak during March Madness. Lock it in is just the latest campaign and probably not the last.

Each year, the companies come up with sayings that are used for the shooting shirts. This year's:

Nike - Lock It In
Adidas - Legacy On Lock
Under Armour - Doubt Us

So it was down to two teams and UCLA took down the Duke Women so Uconn stands alone at this moment as the men trail Duke in the first by 9. GO UCONN!

There is a greater-than-zero chance that Connecticut and Michigan coould face each other in both national championship games. Anyone know if that has ever happened?
