I claim that thanks should be given to Geno because he created the most powerful women's franchise since the sole franchise of Pat Summitt. Increased competition and has led most schools to upgrade their BB Curriculum and compete with Geno. I would say that Women's BB is on a par with the Men's in many instances.GO HUSKIES!!!!

You expect to see the big boys like UCONN, Texas, Michigan and such. It's great that some of the little guys like Cal Baptist, Duke, Howard, and High Point get a chance to get some shine as well.
Not only did Howard have both teams in the postseason (I think) for the first time, the men won last night, and that's definitely the first time Howard has won a NCAA tourney game.

Tennessee women and Gonzaga women eliminated from the tourney. Count now at 26.

.-.
Nebraska women are out., ==> 23; Looks like it's all by "the chalk" so far in the Women's brackets with 14 in the bank (Villanova v Texas Tech and OK v Idaho still going)

Idaho is behind OK by 22 pts at the half. Looks like Idaho will be off the list in about an hour-ish, leaving 22. Howard is out in the Men's by 21 vs. Michigan ==> 21 in an hour.

Still "by the chalk!" That favors the Huskies!!!

Go Huskies!!!

and "IN" the Women's NIT.
The NC State women won (v. Tennessee, so no more "Hockey style line changes" - so sad... : ( ) in the NCAA first round, and play Michigan in the 2nd round. NC State Men lost in the West Region #11 play in game to Texas. That puts it down to 20 if/when Idaho loses in less than an hour. CBU men are not doing well vs. Kansas in the East #13 v. #4 match up, could be at 19 soon.

Georgia men are out by 25 to Saint Louis, as ALL #8 lose to the #9's! ==> at 20;
still waiting on CBU men (down 36 in 4th) v Kansas & Idaho women (down 35 in 4th) v OK.

UConn men in a close one at the half (up by 4) over Furman (40-36), with Reed having a monster half (19 pts) for UConn.

Go Huskies! Need the "afterburners" to start the second half!!

CBU (men) within 6 pts of Kansas with a minute to play, OT anyone?

UConn's Reed 25 pts on 10 of 11 shooting & 17 rebounds and 11:40 to go in the 2nd half. UConn up by 9 pts.

CBU men lose by 8 pts ==> at 19.

OK women up by 30 pts with 1:30 to go in the 4th; and win by 30 pts at 18.

UConn men win by 11; Reed 31 pts/27 rebounds - great game!!!

Men's East & Midwest go by "the chalk except for the #9's beating the #8's.

Go Huskies!!!
