Schools can now pay student-athletes directly

In the open, that is. It’s been going on for ages in the back rooms, especially for football

"It's been going on for ages in the back rooms, especially in football"

100% true. I think Nick Saben retired from Alabama because he was getting sick of it. He talked about this numerous times.

The most common figures you see are: 75 percent for football: 15 percent for MBB; 5 percent for WBB; and 5 percent split among other sports. There is already a Title IX lawsuit in the courts.

I was going to say the same thing. Sounds like a big title IX problem. Maybe a kid seating on the bench for the women's volleyball team will make as much as the starting QB. Does this make sense? No, but it doesn't have to.
