Fun game. Yall chickens showed up and showed out.
Keep the bag on for awhile longer, it fits nicely and is of course so well deserved.

The deed is done, the devil is dead. Anyone ever heard of a good devil before? Nah, banish them all. Devils….lmao.

I'm kind of excited for Texas to join the SEC. I think we will get a few more epic showdowns between Dawn Staley and Vic Schafer.

Three way races with LSU should be interesting.

Texas is still rising.

Yes. When do you think that happens, giving South Carolina the longest active streak of weeks in the rankings?
I just don’t think it happens. They would have to have a collapse in conference play. This Texas loss likely only drops them 2 or 3 spots. I believe they could lose their next game against Ball State and still remain in the rankings.

Very exciting what we saw from Breezy in the Tarheel state this weekend. I hope this week we’ll refer to when we talk about her time at USC as the week she started reaching her full potential. For me, she was this team’s player of the week.

I agree.she was the leader of this team also. Vocal in the huddle and a steady, calm presence. On the flip side, this team certainly doesn’t back down from anybody. And how about the turn around from MayLaysia. She was a diff maker in this game.

Did anyone who watched the game (against Duke ) understand the Chloe Kitts effort ? That girl is the hardest working player on the floor. She might not be the most talented but she has a workmanship that is off the charts. That girl bawls.....you had Mad Kiki....now you have Mad Kitts.....geez....

I have loved Feagin since she got here but am losing hope that she turns into a major contributor. She just doesn’t seem to have the hustle in her. I do want it for her so badly bc of her scoring potential but she needs to hustle on both sides of the ball.

I hope her response was a joke, otherwise it’s a pretty lame answer. ‍♂️
A lot of truth sprinkled with humor. My understanding is that the team has been trying to get a lot of Tobacco Roard schools (UNC, Duke, WFU) on the schedule for some home & home games, seems they have not been successful (turned down during the Freshies run??). I don't think it's a coincidence both UNC & Duke all of sudden agreed to put SC on the schedule this season. I actually spoke to the then-WFU coach on a flight back from Minneapolis (2022) and asked her - she hemmed & hawed a bit and said something like "we schedule so far out that it's hard........". Seems like a fun series to get going, but home & home seems most reasonable. I'm sure the CLA would welcome them. :) NC State did come in and get a victory in the 20-21 season and SC returned the favor the following season.

Same - she has wonderful offensive ability to catch & score around the basket but her overall effort on both sides of the ball currently pales to the & intensity & effort that Kitts is bringing, especially rebounding

First of all.. Duke and Scar have played or have been scheduled to play 7-8 times in the last decade. We didn't suddenly agree to put Lower Carolina on the schedule this year.

Chapel Hill didn't put you guys on the schedule, it was the ACC /SEC/Espn who put that game together.

Not sure why Scar would want to schedule Wake Forest. Yall would be them by 86 points. It would help boost the attendance at a Wake Forest game. Instead of 349 fans, they might get 3,000.

No offense to any Wake fans @The deacon

Would UConn drop out with a loss to UNC?

Doubtful and they probably shouldn't.

Would take losing to UNC and Marquette probably.

Do not see that happening. But maybe.

I love Chloe and now we are seeing why she earned the starting spot. She will get more comfortable as the season goes but I already love her basketball IQ

I just wish she'd keep her balance better.

And she certainly forces it a fair amount.

But she plays hard and isn't afraid and is consistent.

So no objection here to her starting. Dawn knows what's she's doing.

Much the way I see it.

I think she has unlimited potential but something is missing.

It's to the point where you wonder whether guaranteed playing time would help her.

UNC is generally reluctant to agree with anything that isn't a neutral site in any sport.

It got a lot less fun for them when they started losing games and their pipeline in SC dried up.

I mean a 5-4 UConn team assuming they beat Ball State probably should fall out of top 25. It's hard to justify a team barely over .500 being ranked. I doubt this becomes a reality, I don't see them losing to UNC.

We don’t need to schedule them again until they come to CLA. Something tells me that won’t happen though.

To be fair I think on a lot of her forces that she expects to draw a foul and probably should on a good percentage of them. Anyway I do think she is a great addition to our team!

Interesting that AP dropped UConn 6 spots for a road loss to Texas. By that measure, I now can see them possibly getting dropped out with just a loss to UNC, but I still feel the votes will keep them in, teetering at 24/25. A following loss to Louisville likely means the end to their streak, and should be.

Having said that, I expect UConn to take care of business against Ball St and UNC. I doubt UNC plays as inspired in Uncasville as they did against USC in front of a packed home gym.

Duke was supposed to play SC at home last year, but one of the SC assts screwed up scheduling, so the game couldn't happen. Duke had no problem playing the freshies when Duke had sub par team 21-22 (they only lost by nine), so they certainly weren't afraid last year.

To paraphrase the late great Bernie Mac... We ain't scared of yall (and some other stuff followed)

Hope the series continues... the chicken fans that make it to durham create a great atmosphere. I want to make it down to Columbia for a game.. not sure how they treat visitors down there though.
