Sacred Heart Practice Today Who's Going

I was there sitting in the front row right behind the announcers with C Ferraro and Phil. Met a lot of people the place was packed. Sorry this is so late, but I couldn’t get into the Boneyard. My password wasn’t working. I do have videos, but they don’t come out very good Because they were on my phone so I’m gonna try and work that out and get it out to you guys.

Ice Brady was a beast. We will see what happens with the post rotation, but on this afternoon her familiarity with the system showed through. Plus she seemed surprisingly confident. For many posters she seems to be an afterthought. Or no thought at all. That may prove to be a mistake.

I was there with Phil and see Ferraro. We sat in the front row right behind the announcers. Kelly is lightning quick. Yana can jump out of the gym. Heckel was unbelievable. Hell ball some good passes and some really good shots. Caroline looks like the Caroline of Old a lot of good things Sarah Williams look good they were playing against men. We’re pretty tall Above 6 feet so it wasn’t easy, but there were some great signs of another championship this season.

The Pitt Center at SHU was jammed with a basketball-hungry crowd, and we got what we came for. The opening drills earned cheers as our team passed, shot, and ran in high-energy Husky fashion. We were seated front row, behind the press and admired the team's speed and confidence. The scrimmage that followed showed us that we can expect the season to be exciting and more. Returnees have not lost their edge, and newcomers, especially Kelis (fast, fast), Serah (polished, strong), and Kayleigh (aggressive, quick) did not disappoint.

Then came the "meet and greet," designed to be brief and to tax on the team as little possible. The Huskies were arranged in groups of four, and each fan unit (individual or group) got one camera or phone, worked by an assigned camera hand. We moved across the team, with a swift handshake, hug, or exchange of pleasantries, then a burst of exposures.

Despite a tiring practice, the players were smiling and welcoming, and I got to greet my longterm favorites and to celebrate a few determined returnees. Ashlyn met my adulation with a charming smile. KK charged our little group of four senior citizens with a grin that lit up the room. Finally I threw my arm around Ice's powerful shoulder and got to say, "You are my favorite rock," and Caroline agreed, "Mine, too."

Met this wonderful lady and her girlfriend in line at the Sacred Heart Practice. She doesnt post to the BY but reads it. Her girlfriend took the picture. Todbo we were sitting in the front row behind the press too.

Some comments The team looked really good and very balanced. ICE looked much improved with some good moves and good rebounds. Heckel is gonna be special. Hit some good shots and very quick and aggressive. Heckel has alot of energy. lYana an jump out of the gym. She skyed for a couple of rebounds well above anyone else. Caroline looked like she is back and that could make UConn even more unbelievable. Azzi Sarah continued where they left off. KK hit some nice outside shots. The ladies played against men who were all over 6 ft. It was tuff and they played hard. This team is going to be very hard to stop. Alot of weapons and very deep. No reports on Blanca Jana Ash and Morgan. They sat during the scrimmage. Met people in line from all over CT, NY upstate NY and Mass. This was a practice. Its hard to imagine what UConn WCBB has become. When you think back and look at them now. They are more then a powerhouse and more then a dynasty. They are a legend.

Yup. I’d love to see it, especially as part of a super small, super ferocious lineup: KK Kayleigh Azzi Ash Sarah. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?
While UConn teams are always well conditioned, from what I've seen so far, this five is in exceptional shape and play a physical style. "Ferocious" is an accurate way to describe them. With the next five just as strong and fighting for playing time, competitors should expect 40 minutes of UConn at its best.

Thanks Tony (and everyone else) for your comments about the practice. Much appreciated, and I'm glad to see you are keeping your positive attitude. 😁

I am guilty of having said this before, but I think Ice is going to have a really good season. Hoping that the injured players make full recoveries well before the season starts.
