I lost 2 final four teams on day 1, but I did pick Michigan to the Sweet 16...

PC is not even close to UConn in historical accomplishment. UConn is a national brand with respect from college basketball fans all over the country and an elite accomplished program that just hit a rough patch.
Back in the Big Dance in 2016, when UConn played Kansas and Kentucky played Indiana inat Des Moines location. The Iowa newspaper headlines read, “Blue Bloods only apply here”.

But let’s respect what PC has done this season even if you hate some of their stupid fans. Every fanbase has dumb fans

I think this is a fair take. Nobody would ever suggest the programs are comparable given what UConn accomplished during the Calhoun era. My point was merely the naive commentary about Providence in general. I believe polls on this very site have PC as a top 3 rival to UConn- even if only for geographical reasons

Damn right. In 2011 when 11 BE teams made the Big Dance 9 of them got bounced before sweet 16 and everyone was disparaging the Big East. That all stopped instantly when UConn won it all

Early game plan, Arkansas is face guarding Allen denying him the ball and draped all over him when he does. Letting the rest of the team beat them.

I am seriously enjoying the how hard Shaheen Holloway’s St. Peter’s team plays. Also… constant movement on the offensive end and defensive intensity.

Ten minutes in… and I still can’t believe we lost to this dreck brand of basketball from NMST. If UConn simply showed up with effort in the first half… what could have been.
