Round Two

Wow with the way McCormick plays I promise you he’s on the plus side every game so that was s nothing turn of events. He’s s bull in a china shop gets away with a ton.

Not gonna lie, I love guys like that lol

We played Creighton tight in two games. They were tough, proved it today against a really good Kansas team.

Providence looking good. I hope they go far, good for the BE.

Looks like PC is going to the sweet 16 if they can close this out. Good for them. They posses everything we lacked this season. Our guys could learn something from this PC group. I thought they’d flame out, and they just keep picking up steam. Nothing would surprise me with them at this point.

Creighton might start out 1 or 2 in the preseason big east coaches poll. And only 2 because of the respect for Nova

.-.
That was a great game, Michigan really executed down the stretch

.-.
Had Baylor winning it all. Im toast. Creighton gave it a hell of a shot, depleted as they were. Hall situation is totally fed up. Go PC an Nova

The first win is always the hardest. I still think if we survived that first game we would’ve made a run. So frustrating

.-.
The Michigan/Wiscy brawl changed Michigan's season. Team rallied behind suspended Howard. Howard defended his kids. Kids responded.

F Providence. Their fans are insufferable and they try to force a rivalry between us even though they're a completely irrelevant program with barely any history of success. Hope they enjoy their 15 minutes of fame before they fall back into mediocrity. I want nothing more than to see them get blown out by Kansas. And yeah, I'm bitter as hell knowing that the minnows of the old BE are somehow better than us.

Luck doesn’t exist in the tournament to me. Everyone is good. Some would say we got a good draw before Teddy Allen turned into prime Kobe. It’s the NCAAT, no easy wins
I mostly agree with this. I do think match ups matter to some degree, but if you are an elite team (not saying PC is), you don’t worry about who is in your bracket.

in fact in 99, some pundits thought UConn got a break with #2 Stanford losing in the 2nd round, I didn’t. UConn beat Stanford in Stanford without Hamilton. They weren’t going to beat a full strength UConn team with Hamilton in the Elite 8. But Gonzaga was an unknown darling Cindarella who the entire country was pulling for. They played a 5 out style with all their players, even their center capable of hitting 3s.

Certainly sounds like they are relevant enough for you to hate them.

I hope they go all the way to teach so many of our smug fans a lesson.

And I have no doubt that, if they do, their fans will make the pink hat Red Sox fans seem tolerable by comparison.

I wonder too. UConn came out extremely nervous and tight. If they ma aged to win, that could’ve loosened 5hem up even this team was deeply flawed

They're like a bunch of mosquitoes, more of an annoyance than anything. They flock to every twitter post involving UConn and think they can talk trash when their program has been a joke for decades all while we've won 4 NCs.

those threads about PC were insufferable. I don’t mind if people thought they were not as good as their record as I thought that too, to some degree. But I think a lot of fans here were simply trying to disparage what PC accomplished with the regular season Big East championship. Bottom line they find ways to win games.

I talked a friend out of putting them in the final four. He always disappoints. It's pretty remarkable.
He really does disappoint a ton. IMO, he is really not that great of a coach. you gave great advice to your friend. I had Tenn in the Sweet 16 losing to Nova

What a silly comment. The entire point of the “new big East” is the collective celebration of “basketball schools”. And you should get down from your ivory tower and recall what the UConn program became in the AAC before the Big East welcomed them back. As for the Providence jabs- you should look up the entire history of programs and not just from the Jim Calhoun era onward.

PC is not even close to UConn in historical accomplishment. UConn is a national brand with respect from college basketball fans all over the country and an elite accomplished program that just hit a rough patch.
Back in the Big Dance in 2016, when UConn played Kansas and Kentucky played Indiana inat Des Moines location. The Iowa newspaper headlines read, “Blue Bloods only apply here”.

But let’s respect what PC has done this season even if you hate some of their stupid fans. Every fanbase has dumb fans
