Adams is not an OAD candidate. Needs to earn his minutes in practice and in games. Plenty of rotational flexibility for Dan in positions 1-3. Adams should spend time in SnC Program and look at his significant PT opportunities in Year 2. Learn the offense and defensive rotations-Quality bench minutes- And let his production earn him PT in Year 1. Gonna be a competitive group of guards/wings for PT -as it should be. Smith is only here for a year.

I can see where a player like Tyrese Proctor declaring for the draft yesterday (and other similar upcoming declarations over the next few weeks) is why any undeclared players, who've been sitting on the fence, would want to hold off on declaring for the draft until the last minute.

By doing so they'll have in front of them the full list of every player in the draft, thereby having a more accurate idea of where they'll be slotted.

Mullins will also potentially be vulnerable to bully ball, whether the bulk of his minutes are at the 2 or 3. But they both have good positional length and competitive motors. I’ve watched a lot of games from both. They’re hoopers, but the physicality will be an adjustment regardless of what positions they’re defending, just a reality. Their respective skillsets are major pluses. Makes sense for adams to wonder where his minutes are going to come from, but, a 3-guard lineup like we ran with Tristen, Cam, and Stephon, gives all these talented guards a chance to get a lot of run. Obviously a lot rides on who is added to the roster and where JStew will see the bulk of his minutes.

..could all be competing for those 3 guard spots in theory. Really talented rotation. If any of them are ready to compete for their minutes, then they chose to play for the wrong program. @Gurleyman sorry, all of this obviously isn’t directed at your post.

Ross a guard?? I don’t see that at all but the others who are named can all play 2-3 depending on lineups I agree.
I only saw video and the McD game and Adams will be a player, but it will take some time I think. And Furphy is kinda unknown right, will be interesting to say the least. Kids are always gonna be unhappy every year unfortunately just hope for patience from them these crazy days.

Lineup with AK now confirmed:

PG - Demary / Smith
SG - Ball / Mullins
SF - Stewart / Furphy / Ross
PF - Karaban / Stewart
C - Reed / Reibe

We could see 3 guard combos at times:

Demary / Ball / Mullins with Karaban and Reed

I have no idea how many minutes Ross will get but probably 11-13 is best guess as he can cover the 2 and the 3.

YoY improvements:
1. Ball went ballistic from Frosh to Soph - expect more but not the same improvement statistically as mostly defense, maybe assists go up.
2. Stewart was actually a lot better in Frosh to Soph than many realize -he doubled or tripled some stats
3. Reed was statistically better on less minutes from Soph (Michigan starter) to Junior (UConn bench) in many key areas
4. Ross was barely better in more minutes Frosh to Soph hence a lof of "we'll see" going on with im.
5. Karaban - I truly believe the concussion was behind his shooting slump. All signs are that he's 100% now for Senior year.

Roster is 11. We almost certainly will add 1-2 more at C and PF likely.
