Transfers sit out a year. If he comes to UConn, he's not playing with Napier, nor Boatright very likely.

We are always at our best with a 3 guard lineup and that's what Ollie wants with his teams. Purvis would have to sit out a year and I would love to have him for '14, we are going to have a huge class in '14 and he would certainly be a nice part of it. I think there might be something to these rumors, he almost picked us out of high school, he is unhappy at NC State, they are going to stink next year and they just recently added a juco shooting guard recruit.

— Coach Mark Gottfried used freshmen guards Rodney Purvis (12) and Tyler Lewis (five) for a total of 17 minutes in Friday's game. Players don't make decisions to transfer based on one game, but Gottfried's inability to establish a consistent role for either Purvis or Lewis in the final month of the season could be wind up being a factor.
