Man this one hurts. I was only 9 years old but I remember everything about the '86 Celtics clear as day, and then he became a legend all over again as a commentator.

At least he didn't have to live in a world without the Pac 12. A legend who played the game the way it should be played, and lived life how it ought to be lived. Rest in peace Big Red.

I agree. He was way smart and greatly enthusiastic. He would go on a side road quite often but that added to his color as a personality. I feel like he never turned anyone away and had a genuine curiosity about everything.

Just an incredible player during his UCLA years. Would’ve been an all-timer in the NBA if not for his injuries. Shocking and sad.
