“There’s a lot to work on,’’ Mosqueda-Lewis said. “Every aspect of my game can go up more than what it is right now. And with the coach (Geno Auriemma) that I have there’s never any rest. Dead is a state of mind to him.’’

Here is how Mosqueda-Lewis summed up the season that she had …

“I think a good word for it would be `consistent,’’’ Mosqueda-Lewis said. “That’s what I tried to be the whole time for my team is consistent. A consistent rebounder. A consistent scorer. Just make sure that I was doing whatever the team needed as much as possible.’’

And she was that. Geno knew what he could expect from her every game, and her performances were special.

Mosqueda-Lewis averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the NCAA tournament and was named to the Final Four all-tournament team.

I love Stewie and I'm glad she found her groove but with all the gushing over her last 9 games of the season, I think KML's consistent excellence kinda got pushed to the side a bit. But I saw, Kaleena, and I appreciate how much you elevated your game. I can't wait to see you in the fall.

Looking at Kaleena's career, it seems like she's always made the right decisions for her teams to come out on top. Her syncing up with Kelly Faris was an indication that she hasn't let the limelight change her game...I'm expecting wonderful things from Kaleena as a player and a leader...

KML is going to be the linchpin next year. I agree that you could set your watch to her getting 17 and 6 last season. If she improves on that, she's a shoe-in for AP first team AA and in the running for NPOY.

I expect that next season, she will be more consistent than Breanna. No matter either way- I'm glad both are at Uconn, to say the least.

I think she has a great shot at NPOY for 2013/14...and she and Breanna should both make each other more consistent next year.

That's good to hear about Bria looking like her old self.

I agree that Stewie's performance over the last 5 games may have caused folks to overlook Kaleena. In the 2 NCAA tourney games in Storrs, I thought I was watching Maya Moore in #23 again. KML had an off-game shooting threes against Maryland, but she had a really good NCAA tourney overall. Really, really good.
