We could have some recruits not show in August like Lagow and sit out a year. I think the only recruit we have a risk on that is signed is Krajewski. Don't think Lashlee was too involved in any others from this current class. I suppose we could worry that Marvin Washington would want to follow him.Right now, I'm more worried about the recruits more than anything. I hope Edsall has someone good lined up. Wonder if TJ Weist is willing to come back to UConn?
I had made a comment last season that after a couple games where the offense was clearly our best unit, Randy kind of threw him under the bus in the post game presser rather than praise him.I think his family lives in Alabama. There's no way that's the reason though. My guess is that he and RE are very opposite personalities. I get the sense that Lashlee is pretty quiet and soft (not soft in a bad way). Randy can be pretty rigid and Coughlin-esque. I'd guess it just didn't mesh well.
Have contract details come out yet?
Of course if he just takes the same annual amount he will make more on taxes alone.
Yes, I agree with that about SC - he was following several coaches which was odd.My guess is that he wanted the South Carolina job but didn't get it. I think he followed the USCe head coach recently and that move was the one that made the most sense.
Offensive Analyst/Staffer on Frost's new Nebraska staffIs Verducci still available?
I've learned an important lesson today. And the lesson is: it's never too early in the day to start drinking my whiskey...
Whoever the next OC is will be the 7th Offensive Coordinator for UConn in 6 years. This program desperately needs stability.

Would be nice, but wouldn't a guy like Rod Smith (co-OC at Arizona under him) make more sense? (just one option to consider)At this point I don't even care. Bring in Rich Rod. His offense worked everywhere he went year one.
as a UConn football fan I think what you meant to say is you have been reminded that’s it’s not too early for the whiskey. Is Verducci still available?

wouldn't be too bad an idea to have him coach QBs though...As the OC? Um, no.
Its fantastic knowing Edsall is all over this. Imagine Diaco trying to scramble to find someone. #AdultsUConn Offensive Coordinator Rhett Lashlee Leaving For Same Role At SMU

Well, there was only one coach that was a threat to leave and I'm sure Corey saw all the same odd twitter activity we did and moreover - could sense this was pending. If I was Edsall I would have been thinking about his replacement all fall as it was inevitable. Its fantastic knowing Edsall is all over this. Imagine Diaco trying to scramble to find someone. #Adults
Exactly. Bringing him in as OC is just setting him, and us, up to fail.Hope we have a chance to get TJ back. I like the Danny O idea too but maybe he becomes QB coach and develop our young QB's
Probably. How many recruits can we peg to Lashlee this cycle anyway; Krajewski and????? Seems like he might be part of the effort for Rayam."
I wonder if it was in the works before NLI day and they asked him to wait.
