We will have other guys to do the scoring. Andre brought many more intangibles that may not have appeared in a box score.
Yeah but Andre Jackson's was such bad bucket getter that if we could bring someone who has better skill set offensively to score when left open. Andre made it tough on the 22-23 team with his lack of scoring until we put him in the dunkers spot. That won't always work.

@husky429 you wouldn’t happen to be putting together Reibes averages from his AAU games? I think you’ve done that in the past for other players, if I’m not mistaken?

Has there been statistical posts as to Eric's 3pt %, FT %, etc from any meaningful sample of games Adidas or high school? I keep finding stats that are old or representing 2 game events. Did see a 6 game compilation from Dec he was 11-15 from the line, and 10-13 from 3.

Very few stats out there on him. None from AAU and I haven't found anything from Bullis, his HS.

It's a 3:30pm announcement today people. No need to wear out the refresh key or button every three seconds all day.
You should be able to be productive through lunch amd early afternoon before you start dreaming of ways this announcement would help the Huskies in the future.

Here was the scouting I may or may not have posted maybe a couple months ago, I think:

Overall: 7’0 and 230lbs seems about right. IMO he should be our priority for a big. I’d put him as a high 4* in that 25-50 range. Probably a 2-year player minimum. Doesn't look one-and-done to me barring a huge growth this season; he would do well under Reed’s tutelage for a year and then taking over. He is definitely still in that awkward big guy stage, not quite comfortable in his body. Moves a little bit like Kalkbrenner. Stats are playing on a loaded top-25 high school team. Not the most athletic, but his conditioning seems solid and better than DC at the same stage. Needs to be way more physical on both ends of the floor and gain 15lbs of muscle to compete at the level he wants to, but he does show some toughness once in a while. Really like his attitude as a teammate so far. Always hyping people up, picking up his teammates, and doing the little things on the court.

Offense:
  • His calling card as a big is his shooting, and you can see why. He takes a ton of them–too many in fact. Settles at times. I expect his percentages this summer have improved from deep. Quite streaky from what I’ve seen… He’s going 4/5 one night and 0/3 and 0/5 in his next two games pretty frequently. I'd expect something around 30% to start on a couplefew attempts per game at UConn.
  • His post ups are basic, but he is solid. Finishes with both hands but prefers the left. When he has good positioning, he's automatic using the backboard.
  • FT stroke looks okay, not great. A little stiff in the hips.
  • He does a really solid job when he is able to get a shot off inside–70% from 2 is excellent. Seemed to do well inside the arc this summer too. Gotta love that efficiency.
  • He never takes anything mid-range; only 3s and rim shots, just like Hurley wants. I think I've only ever seen one, even in highlights.
  • I think his passing is underrated in these stats and overall. He doesn’t get a ton of touches so the #s don’t pop. I see him comfortably moving it on the perimeter, he has a nice kick when he can post up, and can feed the post. Mostly left-handed, but developing the right hand passing.
  • Struggles to get position inside because of his overall lack of strength right now. Pretty normal for a big who didn’t mature faster than his peers. Needs to sit down, use his core and push with his hips more. Same thing as his rebounding... typical big man still growing into his body stuff.
  • Does a nice job relocating when his teammates drive; next step will be sealing a man to help keep the lane open. Same on his rolls. Needs to seal a body.
Defense:
  • Really a textbook defender on the block. Doesn’t make a lot of mistakes, stays upright and contests well. I’d like to see him take more risks as he matures as a player and try to cover more ground. Right now he’s pretty limited in his defensive range and is a bit stiff.
  • Better perimeter defender than I expected considering he’s not super quick laterally. IQ seems solid. Did a really nice job staying in front of and limiting Nate Ament in one game.
  • Learning the intricacies of help defense, but you can tell the IQ is there and he’s just working on his processing speed.
  • More of a textbook rebounder than a great one–but I’m pretty picky about rebounding. I need to see him being far more violent when he wants a board. Mostly just reaching and grabbing for the ball instead of breaking someone's ribs before attacking the backboard.
  • He does a great job of keeping the ball high after the board though. Rarely drops it near the guards hand. Outlets after a rebound really well too. Typical euro-coaching.
