for 35 minutes the refs were fine, missing calls and making bad calls on both team. Their usual out of touch selves

but when we were up, there was a 5 minute span where it seemed like Cuse was shooting 2 free throws on every possession, we were getting called for absolutely silly touch fouls, and cuse was allowed to hammer us inside with consequence.

Cuse won, we lost because we missed too many open shots and I'm not blaming the officials for that. But there was one short stretch where they did take over the game.

Yeah, Temple has almost always been a top 20 team over the years. Both Pitino & Calhoun lobbied hard for Temple. Calhoun called Dumphy a tremendous coach. He comes from a big Phily basketball family.
Good luck tonite......

Holy , Clothy!!! You guys beat Temple!! Are you guys in? Or do you have to win out?
Imagine a UConn-UMass tourney game...you and Huskymaniac will have a cyber verbal battle equal to Israel-Iran. You can play the role of Mahmood Ah Mah Dinnejhad (I'm sure I butchered that guy's name)
Anyhow, congrats on a big win.

It seems we do well until the last 6 minutes or so in any game we lose, especially Cuse because they have such depth. Truthfully I think our legs are gone by that time while any team with depth can sub in with fresh legs. I don't know how we overcome this, but I have my fingers crossed that the team does well in the tourney.

I agree with the schedule but not the league. 7th out of 32 isn't bad. And it's clear we dropped off your radar. A10 tourney hasn't been in Philly in years. Thanks for the well wishes.

Hey Clothy you took some crap...now a congrats. Nice win today the dream is still alive for and that's alwats fun this time of year. Never know......they're playing pretty decent. Gotta hand 'er his due, Chaz has game.

Call it what you want but to continuually blame refs for your losses starts to look pathetic. Page back to some other losses and the topic surfaces more often than not. Does caw=Cry And Whine?

I'm sorry, missed your post, but that's what happens when you don't quote someone but then direct some sort of attempt to disparage them in your post.

I think you missed my first post in this thread. Let me quote it for you.

I don't think the officiating was that bad. Some missed calls, but nothing horrendous.

I have said the reffing has cost UConn exactly one game this year. One, and I stand by that claim.

I don't blame this on the refs at all. It was a physical game but I thought it was pretty even. We just didn't execute. The team got very lazy and was just standing around for the last ten minutes of the game and that's why we lost. We've seen it so many times this year. They just can't keep their foot on the pedal consistently at the end of the games and get complacent.
I had no problems with the officiating. I thought we got favorable officiating in the prior two games and it was evenly called against SU.
