This game has been circulating around twitter like crazy lately, however @tcf15 has discovered a UConn version that was created by @UConnPuneet. I think it's awesome and have made at least 3 teams because I can't decide on one. WHO YA GOT??? (The players are limited to the Calhoun era)

So I can buy an NBA point guard for $1 and then have $14 left over to make him look good?

Price, Ben, Caron, Freeman and Okafor.

Three top ten picks, better than average ball-handling/passing at every position, plenty of scoring, defense and a guy who doesn't care if he ever gets a bucket as long as he can rebound and defend. (Secret sauce - there's nothing more dangerous in college hoop than a true point forward.)

Funny game - Oak has the best value for any $5 player. KEA has way better value at $2 than Kemba at $5 or Napier at $4. CV at $2 is also a great value.
I go Kea, Hamilton, DD, CV, Oak. I suffer on defense in the back court but I think CV and Oak make up for it in the front court. Offense is off the chart.

Edit: Or alternatively, AJ, Lamb, DD, Donyell, Oak - yeah I think I really like that team.

We should make a game out of this.

2 people should make a team and then the people vote

The Cuse one had old-school guys like Dave Bing. Why is this limited to Calhoun-era guys?

Price, Allen, Gay, Dy Marshall, Drummond.

Inside out game, scoring on the perimeter, slashers, rim protection and size without sacrificing athleticism.

At the risk of sounding like a Fishy sychophant, I'm not sure any team could be better than the AJ, Ben, Caron, K-Free, Emeka team. That would be my choice anyway within the confines of this exercise.

Not trying to kiss up to you, Fishy, but this is the exact team I wrote down before I started to scroll down to look at other replies.

Big drop off at SF and C after Caron and Emeka, so you grab your studs there. BG for $3 is s steal. And AJP and KF for $1 are terrific values...after Donyell the PF's underwhelm me so I'm completely fine going with a hard-working, defensive minded glue guy there for $1, and I think AJP/KEA/Chris Smith are all pretty much equal.

Just my opinion, but it's tough to call Hamilton a shooting guard during his UConn years. I would absolutely put him as the $4 or $5 SF and drop Robinson from that list.

Agreed. Hamilton would be my #1 choice at SF if I'd made the list. I also don't really buy Donny Marshall as a PF, despite him mostly playing there as a senior, but whatever.

Ricky Moore deserves to be on the SG list too. Who is going to be your defensive stopper in the back court?

Dyson and Robinson don't deserve to make the list in my opinion, and that won't change no matter how much flak I get. I thought they had very uninspired performances down the stretch in 2010 and it leaves a bad taste in mouth to this day.
