Ray Rice video finally leaked

Saw this in a few places:

NFL Lawyer: A player got arrested for poppin' Mollie
Goodell: Two game suspension
NFL Lawyer: "Mollie" is a drug
Goodell: Okay, four games
Genius in simplicity.

My question.

Yesterday, the Ravens knew that Ray Rice knocked his wife unconscious. Two game suspension.

Today, the Ravens 'saw' Ray Rice knock his wife unconscious and were so outraged that they released him immediately.

Um, what in the holy f--- did they think Ray Rice knocking his wife unconscious looked like? Were they suddenly surprised at how brutal a huge dude punching a woman unconscious looked like?!

Zero credit to the Ravens today. None, nada, zilch.

I only feel badly for Mrs. Rice who not only had to endure an attack, but who know has her future thrown completely into doubt.

They could hang out with the 49'ers' players on weekend and find out exactly what it looks like.

If there's any doubt in anyone's mind why/how the sense of sight trumps all others senses combined, this video is proof. It literally took seeing the video to shock the senses of normally rational people to act rationally.

I am a Ravens fan, and loved Ray. When I saw this I was disgusted and glad he got released. Hitting a woman is unforgiveable. Along the same lines tho, Greg Hardy and Ray McDonald deserve the same.

Amazing how the NFL can analyze every piece of tape on a potential draftee but claims to not have bothered to look at the full tape of this. Rice and the NFL are equally slimy in this. And they were both charged with assault with the potential of his record being wiped. Amazing.

ESPN is the sports version of TMZ they are eating this Ray Rice news up.

I just saw Harbaugh claim that seeing the video changed everything. Really? Did everyone think he gently knocked her out? Maybe sang her a lullaby before dragging her out of the elevator?

Great rant by Greenie this morning re: the hypocrisy of killing Ray Rice and lauding Mayweather.

Let's see if she files for divorce now. How the heck can you stay with him? As an in-law how can they ever look him in the face. He is very lucky he did not kill her.

I know. He would have got 4 games.

Well if punched/shoved her and she hit her head on a wall is one thing. He hit her with what Floyd mayweather called a "check" hook against Ricky hatton. That was worse than I expected truthfully.

I dont see him ever playing in NFL again -

The Baltimore Ravens will offer an exchange for Ray Rice jerseys at stadium stores. Details to come.

Anyone who surrenders their Ray Rice jerseys at the bar will receive a $10 bar tab. No. Questions. Asked.

With Ray Rice’s indefinite suspension from the NFL, he will be removed from Madden NFL 15. The roster change will take place by this Friday.

EDIT: Does anyone know if Madden NFL 15 removed Josh Gordon from the game with his 1 year suspension?

I cannot (do not) believe the NFL never saw the tape before. I just watched Draft Day over the weekend, which most NFL associates say is an accurate representation of the hours leading up to the first round (well not the whole Jennifer Gardner piece, but you gotta appease more than the sports fan demographic.). If the Cleveland Browns have access to a private detective, have sources in the Madison, Wisconsin Sherriff's office and can deduce that Bo Callahan will be a bust, the NFL had access to the security footage in real life from a know defunct Atlantic City casino..in which, as Terry Benedict let us all know (Ref: Ocean's Eleven, 2001), "In my hotels, there's always someone watching."

From an HR standpoint, the NFL has two options. Suspend with pay at a pre- designated stage pending the investigation/indictment/verdict for any felony arrest.

Or, let them play pending an indictment/arrest/verdict.

A third option is to outsource the whole discipline procedure, but I doubt they'd do that.

In any case, this should be collectively bargined. The NFL doesn't want to be in the private investigation business.
