Block "C" likely to return to helmets...
Well, when I got my first pair of PF Flyers I know I ran faster and jumped higher. And then, with my Superman cape, I was faster than a speeding bullet and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! So yeah, the block C is going to make a big difference. You just watch! The block c will turn everything around guys, you’ll see
Lol

Diaco did a bang up job here
Number of UConn players who achieved following lifts/times, spring 2010 vs. spring 2017
Bench press, 350-plus
2010, 23
2017: 10
Clean, 250-plus
2010: 46
2017: 31
Squat, 475-plus
2010: 19
2017: 7
40-yard dash, 4.64 seconds or better
2010: 16
2017: 5
So let’s guess on the five that could run under 4.64 last spring which is before the new kids came; Maybe
Coyle
Mayala
Skanes
Summers
Bell.
I recall diaco making the same observations and stating he had a plan. I’m more comfortable with RE at the helm, but there is a difference between building a plan and executing the plan.Refreshing to see an HC at UConn who has the backing of the AD to establish a vision and identity for the football program.
>>A total of 21 players who were either freshmen or sophomores on the roster when Bob Diaco coached his final game at UConn on Nov. 26, 2016, are no longer with the program.<<
Those 40 times are absolutely absurd. Those are bad numbers for an average high school in bum CT.
Damn... run-of-the-mill chump gyms have stronger lifters than that...Diaco did a bang up job here

I've never wanted the block C back until this year. I haven't had a problem with any of the uniforms we've had, in fact I like the new logo... But if we're going with the whole #REstorred idea, we'd might as well go with the block C too (I like the white helmet that has been floating around). Whatever it takes to get back to the glory days.I continue to fail to see the allure of the block C. It's childish, archaic, boring, and doesn't identify the University or the team. It could just as easily be Cincinnati, Clemson, Colorado, or the Chicago Bears for god sake.
