When Taliek was a junior, he was starting for his 3rd year.Gaffney is the new Taliek of the Boneyard.

That's neat, in no way is he a point guard though.Gaffney has the highest assist rate on the team. They boneyard stays missing
Was it hard to see a situation where Bazz and Boat played together? As long as Hurley doesn't play Cole and Diggins together, he's not going to see the floor often. And here's the thing, it's hard to see a situation where Cole and Diggins should play together.
Awesome and in no way is Diggins the backup point guard on the #17 team in the country. That's neat, in no way is he a point guard though.
Keep in mind the site you posted this to.He had 3 points 1 assist and 1 block. Can we stop acting like he had a breakout game. We need to see a lot more of him.
He tied Ray Allen for the most points ever scored on a single shot in UConn historyKeep in mind the site you posted this to.
I don’t think reasonable ppl are saying he needs to play 25 min a game, but he should be getting burn. It benefits the team to develop another ball handler and, in my watching, he hasn’t shown himself to be someone who doesn’t deserve ~10 min a game. It will only make the team better later in the season.Well they all looked better last year playing high school competition. I loved the kid's game yesterday, but I realize who they played.
I forget how much we extrapolate from one game against a cupcake. Just saying against those types of teams all of our players should look like All Stars.
He stood in the corner because Dan Hurley called that formation and Gaff ignored him when he was open as he ignored other opportunities, Gaff dribbled the ball east and west eating clock in the half court offense - I am not insane and neither are 90% who sit behind the bench and heard Dan Hurley yell at Sool to stay over there - he was using Gaff as the PG and Sool as the SG. Once Sool was placed in the PG is when you could see the potentialThe kid makes 1 three, handled the ball limitedly and sat in the corner and pretty much looked lost on offense. All of sudden he’s the second coming of Jesus. 90% of you are insane.
Basically what you’re saying is, off the limited touches he had at point guard that he is the best point guard we have? That’s a really hot take!He stood in the corner because Dan Hurley called that formation and Gaff ignored him when he was open as he ignored other opportunities, Gaff dribbled the ball east and west eating clock in the half court offense - I am not insane and neither are 90% who sit behind the bench and heard Dan Hurley yell at Sool to stay over there - he was using Gaff as the PG and Sool as the SG. Sool is not the second coming of Jesus but he is a PG - the only real one UConn has right now
It's more likely that you don't read very well.Basically what you’re saying is, off the limited touches he had at point guard that he is the best point guard we have? That’s a really hot take!
I think this is all anyone means. We need a traditional, pure pg in the program again. Diggins will be a good one.Liked what I saw out of Diggins yesterday. He’s more old timey point guardy than Cole or Gaffney who are more aggressive scorers.
Would like to see him get more minutes going forward - depth is depth.

Then again, this comment was less extreme than your earlier claiming that people think he's the second coming of and that 90% of the posters here are insane, so maybe you're a young new talent who's developing and needs some more time and a larger sample size before sweeping claims can be intelligently made.
He’s kind of the anti-Taliek. Taliek’s whole issue was he would get the ball and head to the hoop like a heat seeking missile. I think most people would say Gaffney‘s problem isn’t being too aggressive.Gaffney is the new Taliek of the Boneyard
Just now you've dialed back from 90% are insane to "Most of the people on here go from one extreme to another every game," and dropped Jesus from the discussion togetherIf you’re talking about me needing a larger sample size before making the claim that I did, I don’t. Most of the people on here go from one extreme to another every game. If you’re talking about we need a larger sample size of diggins before anointing him the best point guard on the team or the fact that he’s ready to play at a high level, yes I agree.
Going from one extreme to the other can be defined as irrational or foolish, which is also the definition of insanity. Like I said 90% of the people on here fall into that category, especially the ones who think diggins is ready for valuable minutes because of his 12 minutes of mediocre at best basketball.Just now you've dialed back from 90% are insane to "Most of the people on here go from one extreme to another every game," and dropped Jesus from the discussion together
Keep going.
Gaffney is the new Taliek of the Boneyard. Can’t wait until he’s a major piece to help us bring home #5 so all of you idiots can eat crow. He’s better than most think and hasn’t hit his stride yet. Remember who the only one to show up in the NCAA Tournament was last year? It was Gaffney…you guys have serious short term memory. Gaff is gonna average about 10 points per game coming off the bench and will be one of the top 3 on our team in 3 pt. FG %.
Its not his skill set or his court vision. It’s the constant probing that he does where he doesn’t really go anywhere and just eats up the shot clock. When he is decisive he’s good. Too often (against good teams) he does the probing crap.Gaffney has the highest assist rate on the team. They boneyard stays missing
Let me guess…you were one of the people who said Jackso would become a great 3-point shooter over the summer…Diggins is going to be a great point guard. He will work his way into the rotation.
With the new transfer rules everyone is a bit edgy about getting young highly rated freshmen their time on the floor in games.
20 years ago it was understood that you put your time in and got your turn Soph, JR and SR year.
Now everyone wants it now and they have options. It’s the Elephant in the room on every team with young talent sitting behind upperclassmen.
You just went from one extreme to the other. To call the Grambling game 12 minutes of mediocre basketball for Sool is just not right and fair. Sool was inserted in his 1st meaningful minutes of a game and was steady for us in that time. Hurley imo should have played him in the earlier cupcake games and for some god sake reason he didn't. We just need to see more of him to see where he stands on this team. WVU is going to be a test for him and the team. He has to start somewhere and Grambling was it. Sool has very good bb IQ, though not the fastest and most athletic player we have but he is crafty and also he should be a steady influence (PT guard) for us going forward. Give him a chance please.Going from one extreme to the other can be defined as irrational or foolish, which is also the definition of insanity. Ok, you're back to 90%. And now something that "can" be a definition of "irrational or foolish" is being claimed as "also the definition of insanity."Going from one extreme to the other can be defined as irrational or foolish, which is also the definition of insanity. And this comes from Taliek's biggest fan back in the day.Wow please let me know when he even approaches Talieks defensive abilities.
Stop, with your casual fan it's demeaning, do you get a trophy for being a super fan?Agree, back to reality from Casual Fan Happy Hour.
