There’s no basis for the ACC being a better basketball conference than the big east

Historic success and fan base are 2 of the debatables

I think the roster fit here is better

It correct proximity to home may not be a factor.

Still UConn checks off significantly more boxes
He lost me at conference LOL

…….ok. I picked the things that mattered that I could think of lol. Most of them being basketball related reasons. And a handful incorrect? I’be yet to hear any good reason for the majority of what I stated to be “incorrect”.

Historical Success - I’ll concede
Fan Base - I’ll concede

After that your well runs dry lmao
You didn’t do campus. Didn’t do scholastics, NBA Pedigree, etc. Fit is obviously a wash, as I explained. Conference at best is a wash as well.

We’ll agree to disagree on conference. I don’t think scholastics matter to a kid who is spending 9 months in college. I’ve never seen Duke’s campus. Can’t speak on it

Cooper just followed Andrew Hurley and Shabazz fwiw.

For those who don’t recall, Shabazz posted earlier about how Cooper and his brother need to go to UConn, so he’s probably involved in the recruitment in some way.
Is Andrew related to Dan, the current HC of the mens team, in anyway? this may be big...

Why would anyone follow andrew hurley if he was not coming? Probably the most positive piece of of information suggesting he is coming.

Flagg, Ngongba, Nowell, and Abrahams class added to what we’d have would make me do things society frowns upon. We’d need to add some shooting maybe through the portal. But what a squad we’d have next season

It’s been theorized we offered to play a game at Maine, near where he grew up, for him. His entire brand is centered around Maine. No chance Duke, with 3 other 5 star freshman wings, is offering to play a game in Maine for him.

I think Andrew might be an incredible recruiting piece. Part of the team, part of the family, but seems like he’d be fun to party with and talk turkey.

Him and Ace will be best boys, mark my words.

I am also hearing that if he commits to UConn there might be a game in Bangor...right down the street
Bangor? I don't even...
there’s a casino directly across the street from the Cross Center for the bettors and a couple of really good restaurants and breweries in town. Bangor is a sneaky fun small town if you know what ur doing

There is NO reason to live in NC over New England unless your job takes you there.

Imagine raising a kid there. Schools in North Carolina were ranked No. 33 overall, No. 38 for quality, and No. 28 for safety.
I'm gonna say this:
We just hired a new chair in the department. She's leaving UConn to come here.
Her husband is staying there.
I suspect it's because he has a practice that he doesn't want abandon. Still...
Oh and I did the bi-coastal long distance relationship for... 15 years! By the time I got to NYC, it was time to come back here!

But historically Duke probably edges us. Wins/Conference titles, etc.
Not probably, it does. Duke has 11 more Final Fours and Elite 8s than us. 6 more title game appearances.

We equal them in titles, which is obviously awesome. But our meaningful history starts in 1990 (and far too many suggest 1999), and theirs starts in 1960 (and far too many suggest 1986).

Given the fact that they had a 30 year head start, we look pretty good. But their post-season record, head to head, is way better, even if you think "title or bust."

But Duke fans will tell you that 1999 and 2004 are two of the most painful losses their program has ever had. That counts for something.
