I forgot about Cuse but Maryland is in the Big 10.

It's all confusing and a bit complicated. Louisville and Cuse won their titles in the Big East, they both suck now and Louisville doesn't even have that title in the record books.

All that shuffling around and Big East is better than the ACC now in hoops.
It’s why going that far back is irrelevant

Fair point on Maryland. I always forget that because it's just so stupid.

How is this complicated? The first six champions of this Millenia were: MSU, Duke, Maryland, Syracuse, UConn, North Carolina. Louisville and Virgina later won as well as Villanova. So that's 6 current ACC schools and 2 current Big East schools. SEC also has two (Florida, UK) and Big XII has two (KU, Baylor). Big Ten has just that one in 2000 and the old Pac had zero.

Even if you want to consider just the last decade, it's 3 ACC schools and 2 Big East schools.

For fun facts, the Big Ten dominates the loser side of the NC game. Since 2000, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin have all lost title games.
Maryland is in the B1G.

And you just can't include Cuse or Louisville as basketball schools at this point.

I don't think so. I believe his parents and he are very smart and would decide he should play another year at UConn if it was his best path.
They're very smart, which is why he'll be leaving for the NBA. Castle and Clingan are going to the NBA, the sooner we all accept that the better. I can only imagine the shock when Karaban declares if this is the reaction to Castle and Clingan

Duke is a fine program. With that said, the more I compare both programs at this current date I realize that there isn’t much reason to choose Duke over UConn. I mean give me a good one….

Coaching - UConn
Development -UConn
Culture - UConn
Conference - UConn
Proven Winner - Hurley/UConn
Proximity to home -UConn
Roster fit -UConn
Current Success - UConn
Historic Success - Wash
Fan base - Wash?
Develop nba players - Hurley
Experience - Hurley
And...
On-campus ice cream - UConn

I get it - you're assuming the total happy path, but what if he comes out of the gates with struggles on defense and therefore doesn't get lots of minutes until February, what if he gets nicked up with an injury, etc. I think there are legitimate sad paths that could make it wise to come back for a second year. But, I hope not obviously.

I mean, fine, but you are still biased. I explained a basis for why the ACC could be considered better. From an outsiders/unbiased perspective, it’s certainly not the wash you believe it is.
You did a bad job.

What about living environment? Weather? Proximity to a city? There are positive reasons to go to Duke for especially for Flagg we can be a little reasonable.
I hope you’re not saying that a kid who grew up in Maine wants hot weather and a large city? If he goes to Duke he’s definitely going to want air conditioning 8 months out of the year.

Wouldn't even say that's really the case. I do expect their to be struggles for him, but he's still going to get a ton of minutes. And even if the worst case scenario plays out and he struggles most of the year, his NBA stock is still going to be at its peak after his freshman year so I'd still be surprised if he came back

You handpicked categories to try to favor UConn and still got a handful incorrect. It was a genuine attempt.
…….ok. I picked the things that mattered that I could think of lol. Most of them being basketball related reasons. And a handful incorrect? I’be yet to hear any good reason for the majority of what I stated to be “incorrect”.

Historical Success - I’ll concede
Fan Base - I’ll concede

After that your well runs dry lmao

Cooper just followed Andrew Hurley and Shabazz fwiw.

For those who don’t recall, Shabazz posted earlier about how Cooper and his brother need to go to UConn, so he’s probably involved in the recruitment in some way.
