All-American level performance and another big-time shot, this time a three that cut the PC lead to 2 under a minute. We have about half a season left with him in a UCONN uniform, hope everyone is able witness and appreciate his greatness. #Legend

A tale of two halves and the reason his grade gets dinged. That being said, his second half, especially late, was solid and he was poised in the right spot when he got the rebound and put-back to tie it up in regulation. They don't win this game without him.

About as good a bounce back game as one can have. TO's prevent the A+ on offense, but that was a stock-raising show. I think he is good for a few more games like this, His scoring average jumped 2.4 points up to 11.4 ppg and is now the fourth starter averaging double digits. (Silas is currently at 9.9 ppg)

Second half looked like early-season Solo. His shot wasn't falling, and seemed to regress defensively, hence the reason he was on the bench for end of regulation and OT. He's clearly struggling from three this year, but has been making up for it recently with a solid mid-range game, beating his man and serviceable defense, he didn't have it tonight. He did have a couple of nice hustle plays diving to the floor early on and set the pace with an opening three. He hould be poised to have a bounce back game at home against DePaul.

Silas Demary Jr.

....and here he is! This is what an A+ game looks like. On top of the impressive state line and timely shots, including the game-clincher, he was mucking it up all over throwing it off PC player for out of bounds. I'm not ready to set the bar this high for him every game, but at least we know what he's capable of. Nice game, Silas.

Not the haughtiest state line, but was impactful on both ends and hit a timely three to cut into the PC lead late in the 2nd. I think I read in another thread that he was +18. I believe it, they looked more cohesive with him on the floor.

Moment was maybe a bit big for him. He'll be fine.

Solo wasn’t benched because of his offense it was because he was getting killed on defense which seemed to effect him mentally

I haven't seen a team get that many wide open clean looks in years. Their penetration at will caused wide open 3s and our closeouts were just a hair late every single time.

Better on ball defense diminishes some of this. On ball defense is where J Ross can be very valuable if he limits his fouls.

In bed last night, I got to wondering how man 'fans' turned the game off with about 3 minutes to go after the fryers scored to make it an 11 point lead.
Raises hand, shamefully. It sure looked like we were going to get our butt beat. Everything they threw up was going in. I kept watching though.

It was easier watching the replay yesterday. Well I just watched the last 3 minutes of regulation and OT. 😀

I had an argument about doing it - in my head. For a moment. Thought if I shut it off they’d pull out some sort of miracle. Then I thought if such miracle should happen I wanted to witness it while it was happening. So stayed and watched and then rewatched the game shortly afterwards with my wife who is a big fan but prefers not watching them lose or stressing out if games are tense.

Coming back from down 11 with 3 minutes left usually requires 4 or 5 scores and stops every single time while the opponent runs down the clock.

They actually hit a 3 which normally would have been enough, but their fast break paced turnovers gave us more opportunities with our 6 scores to their 1 score.

I would give the overall game a B. We are in trouble if that was their A game. Perhaps you graded them that high because of an awesome come back win? I am a tougher grader. Until they can put together a full 40 minutes of good basketball I can’t give them an A. Not even an A-.

My wife and I try to eat dinner together if we dont see each other all day, when the kids go to bed (I'm in central time) so i turned off tv with like 10 minutes to go and I had the phone on my lap with the BY chat running so I can keep track until dinner was over.

it must've been after the Mila layup, and the chat just read "Game over" "this one's gonna hurt" "they're gonna storm the court"

So I called my dad a minute later and said "man that sucks huh?"

And he said "you think being down 2 after all that sucks???

My mouth just dropped.

Not me, I had at least 3 more minutes of cursing at the TV in me. I was dropping M…s left and right
