Gampel seemed quiet and it looked like there were a lot of empty seats for what should be a massive game
We saw your post the first time and you couldn't be more wrong. There's a whole thread about it if you care to read it.
I watched it on TV and it was loud.

Don't know what NBC did differently but this was the first broadcast that I heard the noise from the fans. With a lot of the Fox broadcasts it seems they mute the background fan noise to minimize the impact on the announcers. Just an electric tv experience.

The 133 teams with better DRtg's than UConn's have somehow figured out how to guard the 3 and the 2 better than UConn does.

Well, the one thing we do well is limit 3 point attempts, and that seems to be the goal. I question whether it should be, but it's clearly how we're playing with the guys we have.

We allow one of the highest 3 point % in the country on the second fewest attempts. We're 15th in 2 point % against, but we foul so much that it doesn't matter. The fouls come from tons of penetration, and the penetration comes from selling out to limit 3 point attempts. The numbers match what we see on the floor. We can't stop the dribble, at all.

No doubt did I say anything to the contrary? He was awful in the first half and like it or not it’s the truth. He had a great 2nd half but was also a big part of the bad first half by all. He was as rattled as the rest of the team and it can’t happen at the point.
No I guess not really to answer your question. I would not say that Diarra played awful in the first half I guess. I will add through that as much as I appreciate and like the way that Reed played as well as Mahaney’s contributions, the most important player on this team right now is Diarra. He does what I guess no one else can do for us. Not only does he facilitate but he attacks his defender in a straight line to get the ball up the floor and initiate the offense. Obviously i don’t think that we are nearly as good as we are McNeeley is on the floor but without Diarra doing his point guard stuff we got a ship with a lot of big holes in it.

As of today, we make and give up 3-point shots at 37%. The difference is we take 9.7 and give up 6.3 attempts per game.

You just keep beating your dead horses, my man…even if they are not true in the specific games you’re referring to.
I suggest that you count the # of total points that have been scored since the start of the season because he could not stop his man from driving to the hoop.
