Prognosticator's Predictions Game 10 vs Florida State

Like the others I find a prediction more difficult than usual due to not knowing who will be available. I have to believe that Maryland is better than FSU so I'll go with:

UConn winning 83-67.

I still think UConn will be offensively limited. If anyone has a bad day it could spell trouble. If Aubrey didn't have an off game against ND, we could have won that game. Still I'm hoping no one has that bad of a day so....

I read the article about FSU win last night over the " Blue Hose" of Presbyterian - (3-7?).
The article made a big point about their offense, the numerous steals, and FSU
getting THIRTY-FOUR turnovers, also outrebounding the Blue Hose by 52 -39.
I think the score was something like 98 - 32. So, is FSU planning to PRESS, STEAL, and
out rebound the HUSKIES?? My thought is 'bring it on!" That is NOT going to happen!

The Huskies have something to prove. FSU has no one who can stop Aaliyah, or Dorka if she plays. The Seminoles are flustered in their first brush with high level competition. Regardless of personnel on the floor, UConn rolls to a
83 – 62 victory, MOV 21.

On hearing that Nika and Dorka (the '-ka' women) will play at least some minutes, I'm ready to prognosticate.

I stated on the Nika will play thread that some Prognosticator's will have to rethink their Prognostications with the news, well I'm one of them. UConn 90 - FSU 60 MOV 30.
 
Just having Big D and The Girl in Your Face available to play should put a charge into the whole team.

Caroline, Aubrey, Nika, Lou, Edwards in double digits Dorka 5 blocks. DeBerry's break out game.

Uconn 83-64. As a bonus, think the starting 5 will be Nika, Lou, Caroline, Aubrey, and Aaliyah.
 
Assuming Dorka plays as is expected I believe she starts - with Aubrey, Nika, Lou, and AE. I'll keep my prediction as I was hoping some of the injured would return for the game.
 
With players coming back this won't be close

I'll revise my MOV to 20 thinking the defense will be better and the turnovers will go down with Nika and Dorka Available. That shouold be good for at least a 5 point increase in offensive production and a five point reduction in FSU's offensive production. Geno may be inclined to give the troops who held the line the last two games some more opportunities.

Florida State has won big over several weak teams. Against "good" teams they have won squeakers. Massey has them rated at #25...despite an 11-1 record, with 4 loss Louisville rated better by Massey.

With Nika and Dorka back...even if they don't play 40 minutes, I believe this will be a good game for UCONN.

Florida State 65
 
I was concerned that we would have a roster of only 9. Now that it looks like 9--including our Croatian Energizer Bunny--I feel much better. Good guys by 85-70.
