OT: Post some Tasty Jazz Flavored Tunes

This one never ceases to amaze me, esp with headphones on:

Here's a beautiful little ditty by Yusef Lateef, in 7/4 time.

I'm not a big sax fan but this one's very smooth and relaxing. I almost fell asleep listening.

Very true on that Tom Scott tune. Now here's one that is certainly a bit more up tempo - Tom Scott and the LA Express doing Rock Island Rocket. I remember it getting good amount of airplay back in the 70's:

The group is Elements, this piece is a bit mysterious with a cool groove:

This was the first piece of Jean-Luc Ponty’s that I heard, lo these many years ago. I couldn’t get over the texture of it, wich I still love.

.-.
I know for charting this song was considered "pop" or "rock" but I always thought it had more of a jazz vibe to it.

I consider her pure jazz - not "pop." Audio Viagra.

I really don't consider her a solo artist because so much of her band has been together for so long. They are among my top ten favorite "bands" of all time.

Rick's video just came out today.
Oscar Peterson - The greatest solo of all time ? You be the judge.
BTW. Rick's programs are always informative and entertaining. He has 2.45 million subscribers.

This is a group that some of you may have heard of, and they are quite good. The only jazz group I know of that has a tap dancer for additional sounds. Nice vocal too.

Thanks Replicant - and another great smooth jazzy Michael Franks tune:

This piece by Hiromi Uehara, the young Japanese pianist who played in the Olympic Opening Ceremony, rivals the great Art Tatum. The last 2 minutes is something else!

.-.
My classmate and good friend, Paul Boehmke, who just passed away last year, may he rest in peace. Nice blues sax solo.
