Post Game Thread - Thank You, Alex, Tarris, and Malachi

I think May just hit a home run with the perfect players and coached them to near perfection, but I certainly wouldn’t use this as a baseline for success looking at the evidence against
They did an excellent job on roster construction this year. It didn't seem like a home run before the season started but sometimes you just nail it.

No kidding. But, he was made out to be this legendary player. It was a bit much, imo.
Can someone with more basketball knowledge than me explain how he played 3 years at a JUCO, 2 with UAB and still got another year?

On another note, so proud of our team tonight, fought till the bitter end and came up just short. We will always have the magical victory over Duke that propelled us to this Final Four. What a memory!

Michigan played great D and made all their free throws. We shot poorly and definitely seemed to get the wrong end of the whistle. Just too much to overcome. Left us saying “if that one shot just went in!” It hurts, but we were the second best team in the tournament.

Great job by the players and coaches. Thanks for the fun!

There's another universe where Reed dunks that breakaway steal and Karaban makes that last three, and it wasn't ours today, but we did get a peek into it during this run.

Man I just was talking to wifey about this - 2/3 plays in the final 3 minutes that seem to have gone our way for 27 years just didn’t today. It’s crazy that we’ve made so many big plays in our history, and tonight they were there and just didn’t happen. Can’t be mad about that.

I had to muster up hope to say we had a better chance than most after how we ended the season.

Proud to be a UConn fan. Team was very gritty and got farther than maybe I believed in my own heart. Showed that I would STILL never wanna see UConn down the sidelines from me in March.

Alex and Tarris, you stepped up for March Madness and made it memorable; even in a loss in the championship game.

Love the Husky fam!

.-.
Just too many missed open looks which was the theme in the close losses and close wins. Felt like they should been up at the half but again, left too many points on the board.
Seems like we have been shooting 28% from the 3 all year🤬

Michigan dominated the paint on both sides as expected. We did get a lot of offensive rebounds unexpectedly.
Yeah I was surprised UConn out rebounded them 46-39. That's damn impressive. Just couldn't make enough shots. Michigan's size bothered them. How many shots in the paint did the Huskies miss? Felt like a lot. Shot 31% overall and 9-33 from three. Surprised it was as close as it was with that shooting. Was that their worst shooting game of the season? Felt like it.

Diego Pavia (Vandy football) sued that the NCAA should not be able to include JuCo years against eligibility. The NCAA is an entirely useless organization so they gave every player who just exhausted their eligibility and played JuCo an extra year. We'll see if all JuCo eligibility gets sued out of consideration. We could get a couple more years of Lendeborg.

You can’t call a common foul on a replay.
What was the review for? I assumed it was a common foul or flagrant type thing, so then the common foul would already be called.

.-.
Can someone explain what the result of the review where Cadeau is seen pushing in the lane?

I went away from the TV, come back and see them calling the push from behind a common foul, and then Michigan has the ball for some reason.
I was lost on this one too. Did it just count as a team foul and they moved on? I have never in my life seen that. Since the FG was good I believe Demary gets one FT there.

.-.
Too bad we never get to hear the explanation for these
I found that odd and how they didn't replay quite a few key calls. Nothing on the horrible call on Reed's second foul.

People are saying they are surprised it was so close. You do realize that our defense on them was just as good. They were the best 3pt shooting team in ten tournament and we held them to 2 makes.

We did everything we wanted to do in the game defensively limited transition 3 pt shooting and kept them off the glass and forced them to be a half court team all game. It was a few plays here and there that we usually make that we didn’t.

The transition offense has been bad all year and it cost us at a critical junction in the game the Tarris steal and solo miss followed by their 3 was a killer. Cut it to 4 there and game pressure goes on them. Things might be a little different.
