Florida has a pretty decent chance to make it back to the E8 for the 5th year in a row. Going to be another very even, well-fought game in Gainesville. I'd love it if the two sides decided to extend the series.

Scratch another off the list:

@GoodmanESPN: Florida has landed Michigan transfer Jon Horford, sources told ESPN. Eligible next season. Will help Gators frontcourt depth.

Clearly an escalator guy... I cant really argue with choosing to have time to sit in the sun, instead of putting in work in practice all day, well wait for hard workers who take the stairs

Replacing 4/5 of their starting lineup? Horford is a solid player but definitely nothing special.

I feel their freshman class is underrated, plus BD is the best coach in the SEC.

But if the rumors about Tolk are true, which I hope not since he is my favorite player, I'd target McKnight of FGCU, Simmons of Washington, then whoever has the best combination of size and skill to be a third string center.

Horford stinks, if you can't develop into anything after 4 years in a program known for its player development like Michigan under Beilein then I'm not sure there is any talent that can be pulled out of you.

This made me lol.. I wouldn't say he "stinks" but I see where you're coming from. He's not an impact player by any means

Horford would've been great as an insurance guy. In a perfect world Facey is a 25-28 minute 4 man, Brimah the same at the 5, and Nolan backs up both and picks up the other minutes up front w/ Lubin getting a little bit of a run for foul trouble.

Having your choice between the team that fell short or the team that won it with a fresh coach and underdog roster, and going with the one located in sunny Florida instead of the one nestled in the woods of CT means you'd rather sit in the sun checking out asses than be spending extra time working on your game and hitting the books

This is one of the most insane things I've ever read.

That's not lazy, that's smart.

It doesn't matter. If Horford weren't a worthless reprobate, he'd have begged Ollie to bring him into the program. Any player who doesn't end up at UConn is a bad person, and should be ashamed of himself.

HAHAHA, exactly!

If I'm really going to be jumped on and attacked for backing an Ollie-ism with the fervor of a lunatic, I must not be with like-minded individuals here

Please provide the quote where Ollie passes moral judgment on every kid who chooses to go play for anyone but him. He's going to Florida, one of the best programs in the country. If you think that's a reasonable point-of-view, then no, you're not among like-minded individuals.

Id like to see us bring in a shooter.. some one who can consistently make the 3 ball where if the defense crashes on our driving guards we can kick it out to him. I understand d ham fits this mold but we can use another... anybody on the market?

I would like to see a player with some size to play the 3/4 position.
Status quote wouldn't be the worst thing to happen either

And have him play where? As it is we already have Boat, Purvis, TSam, DHam, Omar, and Cassell all vying for minutes. I would expect us to go small sometimes and have Purvis on the floor w/ Boat and Samuel. I just don't see many minutes available at the 2/3 position.

My idea is to identify any 5th year transfers who kinda sorta remind me of DeAndre Daniels.

And then go get one of those guys.

I need a flow chart to figure this post out. I have no idea what this means.

it would be nice to say lets bring in a 6'8 guy who can shoot the 3 and defend the 4 but how many of those are available? Probably not many. But we lost bazz, kromah, neils and dd... thats 4 really good shooters. We could use another shot maker. Were loaded with combo slashing guards if we dont either bring in another shooter who can play brimah type minutes at the 3 or 4, greatly improve the shooting ability of our current squad or change our style to a more uptemp beat you down the court type offense we will be slightly offensively challenged. That being said, this will be one of the most athletic and best teams defensively weve ever had regardless

Personally, I'd prefer we identify any 5th year transfers who kinda sorta remind me of Roscoe Smith or Jeff Adrien or Kevin Freeman...

And then go get TWO (if not three, if we lose someone to transfer) of those guys.

I hear you... Just don't think there are many (any?) shooters out there who could (should?) be taking minutes away from our myriad of combos/slashers. We have to hope that the pool of Boat, Purvis, Cassell, DHam, and Omar can give us enough perimeter scoring. I would much prefer an experienced 4 man who can give us some minutes either backing up Facey or if Facey is not ready, giving us adequate minutes up front.
