You have the biggest blue bloods along with tOSU and UConn. Given how big Ohio is compared to CT, that is very impressive.

Looks about right to me, except for the whole Ohio St thing but it could be due to their large alumni and overall state population... I remember my senior year of college (graduated in '11) I saw a kid wear a shirt that had the uconn husky dog logo with a circle around it and slash through the middle and beneath that was written "Any team but UCONN". You know your a very popular team when you have kids wearing shirts that specifically point out Uconn as a team they hate. Reminds of those anti-yankee shirts ("Any teaa but the yankees"). A lot of people hate the yankees (I hate them a lot) but there is no denying they are the most popular baseball team on the planet.

Not saying uconn is at the yankees level but I have never seen any anti-UCLA, anti-Kansas, anti- ohio, anti- kentucky shirts...having lived outside of CT for the past 5 years I can say that uconn is a lot more popular and well known than many people who have spent most of their lives in CT think.

When people think Ohio St they will always think football first. Ohio St is the only football powerhouse that has had a solid basketball team over the last 5 years or so.

Are Syracuse fans really trying to imply fact that a popularity contest is suspect because the popularity contest was judged when a team was...popular? Mon dieu!

Now, I'll take that back if the wording of the poll was written: "In spite of UCONN's incredible run through the Big East tournament and over McGhee's curious ankles, and continuing on through the NCAA tournament where UCONN's athletic defensive dominance was combined with equally brilliant coaching, having the result that BBN and the ugly mutt were relegated to the loser's side of the bracket, do you really intend still to vote for Syracuse?"
