3 seed other . Not even close. At this point I wouldn’t mind us getting out of here. The East would just add undue pressure. We are not good at handling pressure.
Definitely a fair angle on it.

Like, if we're in the East then a lot of other teams could have a regional advantage, but out West, where the distance is farther, it likely won't help as many teams.

You literally inspired me to delete my previous post, change my answer and edit this one instead.

I'd rather have a higher seed. Imagine the elation after earning a 3 seed vs the possible letdown of settling for a 4.

If you can't handle playing at MSG, then you're not going to withstand the pressure anywhere.

MSG in a final 8 GUARANTEES a win (doomed)!

The more I think about it, I'm changing my mind. I'd rather the 3 over a 4 in the east. In order to get to to MSG, we have to win our first two games, and pitting us against a 5 in that 2nd round game would be a really tough game. A 6 wouldn't be easy, but there would also be a better chance of them losing in the 1st round.

Once we're in the Sweet 16, we would then get a 2 rather than risk running into a buzz saw like Kansas that early. Even in MSG, I'd rather delay that game as long as possible.

I’m with you on this. Calhoun often wanted to get put out West to just focus on basketball with fewer distractions. The 2014 team had Bazz and Boat and generally thrived in those pressure moments, so playing at MSG was a big advantage without that downside — but this team does not feel like that and might be better off somewhere it can just play.

Albany is what matters and we are almost a lock for that, as nobody else wants it. Aside from that 3 seed not 4. None of the sites are bad. All are easy to get to. That Louisville is the “south” is pretty favorable.

Makes no difference if UConn can’t get to the second weekend. Have to win 2 games this go around.

I think we will be 12 on the S-curve. It is a battle between us and Tennessee. We have one Q3 loss but are five games over .500 in the first two quadrants while they are .500 against the first two quadrants. Even if you think a bad loss is worth three games over .500, we are still good.

I mean more how there's always South, West, and East, but for some reason, always Midwest instead of North for the brackets.
IIRC, there was once a SouthEast region?? IDK the logic behind all that

Prefer whichever gives us the best matchups! We are a difficult team to prepare for - unless you are in conference or know us well.

The only crazy scenario I see is Duke taking someone's 3 seed.

If that happens, it better not be UConn's.

Right now, Lunardi has us as the 4 out West, so we may not get either…

Get’em out of here !!

Remember Portland?

We need a change of scenery away from the pressure.
