Definitely a fair angle on it.3 seed other . Not even close. At this point I wouldn’t mind us getting out of here. The East would just add undue pressure. We are not good at handling pressure.
I want the best 1st and 2nd round matchups that get us to the S16...if it's as a 4 seed good, 3 good, 5 good...its the matchups that matter the mostWhich one do you prefer? Not which is more likely.
Yea and the way that happens is not playing at MSGIf we play like we did in Portland early in the season you can put us anywhere…
I’m with you on this. Calhoun often wanted to get put out West to just focus on basketball with fewer distractions. The 2014 team had Bazz and Boat and generally thrived in those pressure moments, so playing at MSG was a big advantage without that downside — but this team does not feel like that and might be better off somewhere it can just play.3 seed other . Not even close. At this point I wouldn’t mind us getting out of here. The East would just add undue pressure. We are not good at handling pressure.
Some of these 11 and 12 seeds are just as dangerous and could be our second round opponentI’d rather play a 6 than a 5 in the second round. So 3 seed.
Like Game of Thrones? Why is there never a North region?
I mean more how there's always South, West, and East, but for some reason, always Midwest instead of North for the brackets.Like Game of Thrones?
IIRC, there was once a SouthEast region?? IDK the logic behind all thatI mean more how there's always South, West, and East, but for some reason, always Midwest instead of North for the brackets.
wha???????!!!! I'm sure one of the 1 seeds is looking forward to that gameRight now, Lunardi has us as the 4 out West, so we may not get either…
The West Regional Finals are in VegasDefinitely a fair angle on it.
Like, if we're in the East then a lot of other teams could have a regional advantage, but out West, where the distance is farther, it likely won't help as many teams.
You literally inspired me to delete my previous post, change my answer and edit this one instead.
I'd rather have a higher seed. Imagine the elation after earning a 3 seed vs the possible letdown of settling for a 4.
I'd rather play a #2 or #7 in the Sweet Sixteen than a #1.I’d rather play a 6 than a 5 in the second round. So 3 seed.
It's interesting and these seed projections and where want to be make for good copy and yes match ups and seeding matter. But if we want this team to go far, they can't be afraid of their own shadow or afraid of certain 14 seeds and all that. And they will have to beat very good teams to get far. The Jim Calhoun attitude in me surfaces and says "let's shows everyone watching why we are great and beat the hell out of this team. We are not stuck on the same court as them, they are stuck on the same court as us".The "pressure" angle is overblown, but the boost of being a #3 over a #4, matchup-wise in each round, far exceeds any benefit of being in MSG if we make the second weekend.
