We came out totally sluggish, with low energy. Let's see how we do with our first adversity under Hurley. But don't blame the refs.....we're down by 16 to an inferior athletic team. The refs deserve a ton of criticism for being horrible at their jobs, especially when you factor in how much they get paid. The rules committee deserves even more heat for somehow managing to outstupid themselves every year.

But this effort tonight was nothing short of embarrassing. You can’t get worked by a mediocre team like Iowa at MSG.

Thanks for the obligatory “ don’t blame the refs” response. They do get paid don’t they? If you have played, you know that they can disrupt the flow of the game which they have done tonight. No they aren’t totally to blame tonight, but IMO they share some if not quite a bit of the blame.

Agree with everything, but I think Iowa is pretty good. They’re very well coached and fundamentally sound, plus they have some big bodies.

I missed the start of the game, so I don’t think I saw the ones being referenced. But I’ve seen about 10 bad calls, 8 or 9 against UConn. The refs have definitely been bad.

I've played the game. Blaming the refs is a losers lament. I hate it. Iowa has outplayed us. Give them credit. The refs are NOT the reason we are losing.
