School 4 right?
Yup
School 4 right?
Interesting idea. This is also y I like the transfer portal and wish in certain situations 5th years were a thing. It sucks she only has one year of eligibility. I saw an adjustment one person had to the portal would be to make kids wait at least until their sophomore year. I'd make one that if they wait until junior year or if they played in less than half the games any year they should be eligible for a grad transfer year.
Wait. Has it been confirmed that Amari Deberry has entered the transfer portalAmari Deberry (UCONN) in the portal
Her "sitting on her butt" assist to Ines will forever be etched in my mind. Not surprised that Amari is in the portal. I wish her the best.

Honestly, I think this is best for all parties involved. She was not going to play at all next year and now if Geno wants, he has an open roster spot and he could bring in a more experienced post player or Emely.I will miss her, and I wish her the best. One of my favorite Huskies!
He already has an offer out there. I expect he’s known about all the recent events for quite awhile now. He’ll hear from Emely before anything else happens. He prefers to build long term as opposed to portal quick fixes. With Amari gone, it will be interesting to see if Geno will go the portal route or go for another recruit. I’m guessing he will stand pat for now.
There's Emily, there's also reportedly been some interest with Kaitlyn Chen out of Princeton. Or Geno may be looking for an experienced big. I'm sure the coaching staff has a better handle on our needs next year than we do.He already has an offer out there. I expect he’s known about all the recent events for quite awhile now. I hope she is our second Natalie Butler...finds the right non BE school and plays up to her true capabilities.
What year would Emely be coming in and what position is she? I can understand building for the future but he could look for a grad student for one year. Paige has only so much time to get that natty! Now is the time to load up. We could use another Nika-like defender and/or back up point guard. Our awesome defender Aubrey won’t be available for a while. Also never hurts to get a one year big and experienced post. Geno should fill every single scholarship. He already has an offer out there. ... no place in the Research Triangle, though?I know of a few places that would love to have her.
Emely is a current recruit for 2024. She's an athletic 6'2" with really good quickness and good ball handling skills. Think a bigger Aubrey. What year would Emely be coming in and what position is she?
I guess that I am pretty ignorant when it comes to recruiting. With our current roster, why would we be interested in another 6' F/G/W as a recruit or from the portal? Aren't we already loaded? He already has an offer out there. I expect he’s known about all the recent events for quite awhile now. He’ll hear from Emely before anything else happens. I thought folks were complaining about front court depth not 24 hours ago. Well, another athletic 6'2" who can run the floor is definitely a positive. Geno's been quietly building a very tall team and a very quick team.I guess that I am pretty ignorant when it comes to recruiting. Ok, I apologize. I just looked Emely up on ESPN and she is listed as 6'0"Emely is a current recruit for 2024. She's an athletic 6'2" with really good quickness and good ball handling skills. Think a bigger Aubrey.

My guess is Syracuse.I know of a few places that would love to have her.
Wouldn't be the first one to transfer to a team that we recently played (Saylor). My guess is Syracuse.

Syracuse would be closer to home for her. It makes sense and Coach Legette-Jack did a great job with Varejo who transferred in from Michigan.Wouldn't be the first one to transfer to a team that we recently played (Saylor).
Clemson, Converse, and USC-Upstate?I was thinking more along the lines of the Piedmont Triad.![]()
I get more education on US geography in these posts than I did during high school. Loving it.Clemson, Converse, and USC-Upstate?

Syracuse is also reasonably close to Rochester, home to NTID (National Technical Institute for the Deaf) where she could continue/make use of her ASL studies.Syracuse would be closer to home for her. It makes sense and Coach Legette-Jack did a great job with Varejo who transferred in from Michigan.
It can be common for these to be under estimates. It appears to me that they don't change from when the kid is a middle school early highschool first registration. If the kid has a growth spurt, it often isn't reflected in Hoopgurlz.Ok, I apologize. I just looked Emely up on ESPN and she is listed as 6'0"

And Galudet is in DC so maybe Georgetown....Syracuse is also reasonably close to Rochester, home to NTID (National Technical Institute for the Deaf) where she could continue/make use of her ASL studies.
