He's got it all athletically. Speed, quickness, hops, coordination. Skill wise he's a great ballhandler and finishes well around the hoop. Little bit of a streaky shooter. Unselfish. He's gonna be great in college.

there's heavy PG competition for Hunter at most of the schools that have offered. As it stands he'd be backing up or fighting these guys for minutes for at least 2 years:

- UConn
- AZ State (signed 2020 transfer Luther Muhammed)
- Florida
- Texas Tech (signed 2020 transfer Mac McClung)
- Miami
- Georgia (signed 2020 KD Johnson)
- Georgia Tech
- Louisville (signed 2021 Juco El Ellis)
- Iowa State
- Virginia Tech

- Marquette (signed 2020 transfer DJ Carton)
- Creighton (signed 2021 Ryan Nembard)
- Minnesota
- Texas A&M (signed 2020 Hassan Diarra)

Last time UConn had a starting PG from the Mid-West it turned out pretty good.. KEA.. Looks like a Hungry Husky to me!!

I say this a lot, but whenever a recruit is also recruited by Creighton, you can't be too worried about his ability to shoot.

There's a lot to like about Hunter and I'd be ecstatic if we lock him up.

Since he’s dropping a top ten I take it that he’s not rushing his recruitment. Probably a good thing for us because we invested so much in Ellis I’m sure we have some ground to make up.

Gonna be tough to beat Iowa State and Minnesota out for this kid, there's a lot to be said about staying home(ish).

Would be a great get.

Ryan Boatright says hello. :)
My bad ..You're right..Always thought of the Boatshow as more of a CG.. But I stand corrected..Always enjoyed his warrior mentality..
Boat topped out at 3.8 APG so i think he was more of a CG too. In 2014 Bazz obviously ran the point. In 2015 Boat took on more scoring responsibility and Hamilton led the team in assists per 40 mins

We made his Top 10

This kid looks like a Hurley guard. Interesting to see him listed at 6'1 160 because he never seemed small in that video. The shot looks like it needs work though
Back in the day, there was still time for a high schooler to add another inch or two before their freshman year of college. You know late growth spurt thingee.

Not sure about that happening nowadays, but right now he's got better hops than 6'1" Shabazz that's for sure.

I have Coached against this kid since he was in sixth grade. Played for Caron butler AAU team till freshman or sophomore year. Have heard he’s a great kid. He’s a 6’1 down hill guard. Not really a point. Kinda of like Dyson but better IQ.

How is his shooting? Looks fine, but the highlights are limited obviously

so Hunter cut A&M, Minnesota, Creighton, and Louisville among others. that's most of the midwest schools close to home which is great.

as i said before, he'd be competing with the guys below for the starting PG role for at least 2-3 years, whereas at UConn in 2021 Cole will be a senior and Gaffney can play CG. Should feel good about making his top ~5 if that's what's next. Really need to put the full court press on him now though

- UConn
- AZ State (signed 2020 junior transfer *Luther Muhammed- sit out)
- Florida
- Texas Tech (signed 2020 junior transfer *Mac McClung- sit out)
- Miami
- Georgia (signed 2020 freshman KD Johnson)
- Georgia Tech
- Iowa State
- Virginia Tech

- Marquette (signed 2020 sophomore transfer DJ Carton- immediately eligible)

*hopefully Muhammed and McClung don't get waivers otherwise 2021 would be their last year

In terms of what he is looking for to get his list down to five, Hunter said, “Style of play and relationship with the head coach are going to be two big things. Also, I am looking for a place that fits me and where I will have the opportunity to make a big impact as a freshman.”
