He is such an important recruit and would be the centerpiece of the 2016 class. Once Gibbs leaves, we're back to the same problem we had before signing him which was getting another ball handler next to Adams. This time it would be worse because TSam is gone. We can't just have Adams and Cassell Jr (Unless Cassell improves drastically).

I really hope we get this kid. He has ups likeRB from the end of that video. Looks like he has better point guard skills than RB. Looks to be a blend of SN/RB. I like that it seems like we have a great chance of landing him.

Reminds me of Damian Lillard on the Trailblazers. Small, but very athletic and skilled. Kid is going to be great. I can only hope we lock him up because I am not sure there are many other PG in 2016 that are better than him. He is clearly an elite recruit.

Damian Lillard is 6'3" 195 lbs. Not exactly similar to Gilbert.

Watching the NBA finals right now and after seeing Anter's mix tape I don't think anyone on the Cavs or Warriors can check him.

Kid is sick.

Altetique's game is like a cross between Dale Ellis and Detlef Schrempf.

THANK YOU!!! It's been killing me for days but I couldn't pinpoint who I was thinking of.

Its the way he smokes cigarettes. During Divac's days in the NBA he used to smoke in the locker room so much they called him Vlade the Inhaler.

The bevy of ridiculous comparisons are getting tiresome.

Anyhow, he looks like an exciting player. I hope we land him.

I thought that was Dino Radja from the Celtics.

Damn, Gilbert went from 43 to 23 in new ESPN rankings. He is now a 5* and rated as the 5th best PG: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/playerrankings/_/class/2016/order/true

Keep an eye on Alterique Gilbert, who has great speed but also does a great job of changing pace and direction to keep a defense off balance when he goes to the rim. What separates him from his peers is his lack of turnovers. He defends his position, and he makes open shots.

Sounds like kemba. Crazy speed but can stop on a dime or shifting direction
