PeeCee is one of those teams it's easy to love to hate. They have a host of delusional and stupid fans - sort of like BCU, but without all the backstabbing. Given the difficulties UCONN has definitely NOT enjoyed the past few years, it's nice to have a train wreck program like PeeCee to laugh at.

Yeah Sean, tell me you wouldn't have come here IF we had lost to Yale! Your board is amusing to say the least-with all the posts about you getting Drummond, Noel etc. See I remember when PC actually played basketball with players from CT named Eason, Soup, Sly [Oh wait he left and went to URI!]. Your coach is like the NY Jets guy, all talk, lots of chest pumping but few results. LMAO

OH, and by the way, I am a NLHS grad and follow Dunn who is a great kid and friends with my nephew.

Providence and its leaders are a big reason the Big East is dying, the only one who looked into the future with planning was Gavitt. The others after him were just caretakers, not fit for a fulltime job of a major conference.

Well UConn has won 3 championships since 1999. I find it more arrogant for PC fans to keep saying they are taking over New England when they can't even beat Brown.

Sly verballed to PC, then on the first day of classes showed up at URI with his former teammate and buddy Jiggy Williamson! That was the start of the long downgrade of PC basketball. Yeah, he beat UConn last year, as many others did-a flawed team that had many distractions along with youth. Top ten classes are only good if you can get them into school! You will see that it is important to have a long tradition, top rate facilities and top rated academics to go big time. If Cooley ever gets to a final four, he'll leave just like Rick and all the others did for an upgrade.

We're one and a half years removed from a national title. You're one and a half years removed from a terrible program in shambles, which isn't all that different from where you are now.

Yet your board talks about how the torch has been passed to PC as the dominant New England power in basketball, and that signing Austin is symbolic of that. Which is pretty much what you guys said about signing Gerard 'Jordan' Coleman not so long ago.

And you say we're the arrogant ones? You guys have been calling UConn nouveau riche for the past 20 years...you'd think after we've been dominating for this long you'd come up with something new. You keep thumping your chest about your proudest accomplishment, which is having a losing record against UConn. You're about to lose that bit of exposure too.

Your board is a complete cesspool. When Alexd first started posting there, all you idiots would call him a troll if he dared to post anything that wasn't a glowing review of PC. You have the most deluded fan base out there. When Joseph Young signed for you guys he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. A great kid who is dramatically underrated and should have been a McDonald's All-American. When the kid changes his mind, doesn't want to play for Keno and wants a release his father is the devil and ruining his life making him do something he doesn't want to do. Everyone one the board is sure of this because 'Why doesn't Joseph Young come out and make a statement?' Then Joseph himself says he doesn't want to play for PC and the board shifts to 'let's screw him, don't release him, doesn't matter if it hurts his career.' It's the same shit with coaches/assistants with you guys.
 
It's perfect, because the color on the spectrum that best describes Providence's play this year is Brown.

In fairness to Joseph Young, he's playing pretty well this year as a sophomore 16.7 PTS, 4 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 45 FG%, 42 3PT%, 93% FT.

PC could use him off the bench at least (Cotton is producing similar numbers for PC so far this year).

Their arrogance is at its best every time they bring in a new coach.

Somehow it was the most ingenious hire ever, it will be unfair how much of an advantage they will have and in short time they will not only dominate New England but the entire BE. A few years later the story changes to how that hire destroyed what was a great program but fortunately for them the new hire was the most ingenious hire ever, it will be unfair how much of an advantage they will have and in short time they will not only dominate New England but the entire BE.

This post sums up exactly why we find you and your fanbase so insufferable. You come onto a Uconn board to brag about PC's "accomplishments"....which include occassionally winning an impressive regular season game over the course of an otherwise atrocious season. We're all so very impressed. We were also very impressed 3 years ago when you beat us out for Gerard Coleman and we had to settle for the much lower ranked Jeremy Lamb. The "PC's taking over New England" crowd was out in full force then just like they are now.

Remember when Providence had their "why we hate UConn" post? Harping on how UConn was new money, which was funny enough because they were NO money, but...

Then they had to update it to include the first National Championship?
Then they had to update it to include the second National Championship?

Young is good, and would have done fine at PC. My point is, when he was their recruit, he was a kid with a great head on his shoulders. When he changed his mind, you cut your losses and move on. If he did that to UConn I wouldn't like him much either but I wouldn't support trying to screw him for a year and blackmailing him into staying.

Oh I agree. I was just saying he was actually a good recruit they were somewhat justified in pumping up. They completely dropped the ball with how they dealt with him wanting to decommit.

You want to see something funny, an exploding board check out the Cuse......."This team is horrible.....", "Where is the team we saw a month ago?", "We need another guard..." funny stuff.........what I find amazing is after Temple played real well and beat them, they beat an Alcorn State team which honestly the team was going to have trouble getting up for a week later, they stand at what, 11-1 and the sky is falling? They have some real nice talent and size and should be very good all year.........maybe they should press a little more and play a little man-to-man?? LOL................I hope they get beat often but if JB doesn't win 13-15 games in the BE he is awful, this team is loaded.........

Also another funny thread "This can't be true, Duke is not playing an away game until Jan 12th?..." - this coming from a Cuse fan who left the snow of Syracuse once to Arkansas from Novemeber to Jan 6th.........LOL:)

I really do agree with huskynyc, although while they are delusional over there they can create some real good laughs!!
