While it is true that there will be more talent around her at UConn, Hopkins is a powerhouse program with significant Div 1 talent on the floor. They have patsy games and testing games. Her passes are going to people who know their positions and score.

here's the good news...........even with their new conference UConn will have plenty of patsy games too and I certainly hope UConn's talent is far and away better then Hopkins otherwise Geno is doing something wrong....... ;)

I hope, no, I know that Geno has been whispering in her ear "defense, conditioning, weight room", because these are the things he is going to harp on her entire freshman year.
 
Is it typical for coaches to go to games for players that are already signed?
 
The announcers for the Hopkins vs STMA game stated that Paige sat out against Grand Rapids this past Saturday was due to an injury. They stated it was to give her time to heal and get some rest. Another words they believed that they were not going to be challenged by Grand Rapids one bit even without Paige playing.

After the STMA game, Paige acknowledged it was not her best game. Besides shooting poorly for her, she said she was a bit sluggish and slow but her teammates helped her out.

Paige is pretty tough on herself. She only scored 20 pts. :(

Maya Ninja did have a monster game with 32 pts. I know UConn has Amari in 2021 and Ice coming in the 2022 class, but I sincerely hope Geno and his staff maintain a recruiting relationship with Hopkins and Ninja for the next two seasons. You can never have too much size.....
