Per Geno’s press briefing today, Paige has a knee sprain, similar to Azzi’s injury earlier this year. There is no tear. She’ll sit out a game or two and he expects her back in a week or so.

Sigh of relief from UConn WBB fans everywhere……

Per Geno’s presser today, during UConn’s most recent practice they ran a 3-pt shooting drill with Paige on the sideline watching and hit an all-time record number of 3’s for that drill.

Tomorrow’s game vs Xavier could be a lot of fun to watch. :)

Again, no need to have her back until as late as next month when UConn begins playing real basketball teams again. Of course, once fully healthy, she'll have to regain her form, which may or may not be a consideration. Anyway, it'll be a pain in the butt to have her sit one second longer than necessary. This is great news.

She seems OK to me. This was posted an hour ago (about 12:45 Tuesday)

That video was AWESOME! You can really see Jana's personality shining, I've never seen Ice nor Sarah so animated, and it was great seeing the entire team having fun. Especially loved seeing Carol in the middle of something mixing it up!

Great news on Paige - the silver lining is that Ash should be back to starting, and lots more PT for Morgan and maybe Allie. Hopefully for Q as well, but she seems to be last on the depth chart, and I'm not sure there's much she can do this season to break into the rotation. Allie on the other hand - right on the cusp... maybe a few good games from her will give Geno even more weapons...

There is no real down side to having Paige sit out the next couple of games. Having a couple of games for the rest of the team to get some practice in on how to play without depending on Paige has got to be helpful.

ESPN crawl at 3 p.m. reporting that she'll miss the next two games.
Hope that's indeed the case!

Azzi as the leader-in-waiting, more from Kaitlyn, Ash taking a cue from KK, maybe Aubrey?

Saw the interview except when Geno gave the Paige news, Hard to think we were player roll away from the bleakest news. We can take a week or so for Paige to get back on the court. Thanks for your post. Dang, thanks for all your posts. It's taken a while to get over the loss of some of my favorite posters, like Carnac, cocohusky and others. Stay well.

Great news to hear.

I watch the games against the teams I think UCONN will beat pretty easily in fast forward in case something bad happens (hoping that nothing happens). Last night I cringed when I saw Paige on the floor so I had to slow down the replay.

If anyone will get back asap it will be Paige herself. Can imagine she'll be bugging Geno. Can you blame her? She has been through so much and any time sitting on the bench watching is like taking away her oxygen. We all want the absolute best for her because that is exactly the way she has treated every one of her teammates at UConn and before. Go Buckets! Go Huskies!

Fantastic video. Paige looked very animated doing knee bends to show she is OK. My heart can now beat normally. I keep saying this is Paige's year to get what she deserves and worked so hard for. I'm really optimistic about her getting her NC this year. GENO musy be chafing at the bit also. GO FRESHMEN!!!! GO SOPHOMORES!!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!! AND GO PAIGE!!!!!

Hmm. I wonder who starts in her place. KK, Ash, or a dark horse Cheli. I know the logic says Ash and then KK from an experience point of view. But Paige technically plays the 3 so there is always the dark horse Cheli who could get the start since she has more size.

I said the same thing to my wife half an hour ago. Let a few sets of five players take ownership with no chance of Paige coming in to right the ship. No chance of “Paige watching.”

Is that video from today? Or was it filmed previously and just posted today?
A post on the side of the video said it was filmed on Sat, the day before the injury

Who were the likely contributors? Azzi? Allie? Sarah?
