Wrong. Winning is not that important.

How many 9-10 win seasons has Colorado had lately?

How many 9–10 win seasons did SCar have in its entire history before being invited to the SEC? Only one,

Rutgers? Maryland? Missouri?

It’s about fan support and football facilities for the Big Two conferences. Big 12? Maybe not as much but still important, ( of course 9-10 win seasons could generate more football fan support)

Y’all have to sell your basketball support . I think the Big 12 is willing to consider the prestige of your bb reputation. Football won’t get you there until you sell out your home games regularly.
You guys have really good fan support, even during so-so seasons. Historically so I believe?

South Carolina fans do support their teams...

Dawn Staley’s South Carolina basketball team led the country in average attendance per game by a wide margin as they welcomed over 13,000 fans each game in Colonial Life Arena.

The Gamecock baseball program had the 6th-best average attendance figures in the country with almost 7,000 coming out each game to Founders Park.

The South Carolina football team placed 16th in the country in average attendance at around
75,000 fans per contest.

They should be presenting the deal and getting expansion teams on board ASAP.
This whole crap show can be salvaged by presenting a palatable TV deal and getting a couple replacements on board

In 1999 we were sub-so-so , going 0-11. We averaged 78,000 per home game in a stadium that seats @80,000 ( can pack in 84,000 standing)

Prior to joining the SEC we had a mix of good and really bad seasons. We were invited ONLY because we usually had attendance in the 70,000 range.

Last year, Florida blew us out in the first (away game) of our final three Orange Crush games. With top ten Tennnesse and Clemso remaining, it looked like we were not going bowling. However, 79,000 of the home faithful showed up for what was supposed to be a Vol blowout and cheered our underdogs to a massive blowout. Ditto the following week against Clemson ( though attendance for that game is usually near 50/50 black and orange)

As Dawn said our fanbase can be crass at times but we are large and loyal.

The Pac-12 is expected to "present its media-rights deal to the remaining nine schools in the next couple of days." This comes as the conference looks to "hold its nine remaining schools together, land a satisfactory media-rights deal, and add a school or two via expansion." The conference is "negotiating from a weakened position" after seeing USC, UCLA and Colorado exit. The conference "hasn’t been tactically sound, maneuvered too slow, asked too much of its members, and is in an uncomfortable position because of it." The Big 12 "would love to capture" the Univ. of Arizona, but President Robert Robbins has "assured fellow members of the Pac-12 CEO Group that Arizona will wait to see the conference’s media-rights numbers before making any decisions." A Pac-12 CEO Group member said “expansion will come into play immediately after the media-rights deal.” That timeline suggests the conference is "including media companies in the expansion equation" (JOHNCANZANO.com, 7/31).

if Pac holds with 9 that’s a very good sign for UConn, unless somebody else steps in front of us again

Didn't the Pac Network fail because the west coast audience didn't do Pac sports subscriptions?
