First off for that picture yea we have pathetic basketball crowds but the other side of the student section was full. Either way still pathetic but don't try to say that's the only fan there. And we're much better for football but that's irrelevant. As for our chances it's 99.9 he stays kid loves BC.

Wow. So out of 100 verbals you get who love BC, only one who gets an offer from one or more major players leaves. That is impressive. You must compete for the national championship every year with a record like that.

No, one out of a thousand. (99.9%, not 99%). But that doesn't mean they can compete for a national championship. One 4* kid per year loves BC, so it would take them 85 years to recruit a national championship team.

Sigh. I violated a cardinal rule of not screwing up math or English when criticizing a troll. Totally my fault.

Not only that, BCeagles24 is not a troll, and he only said that 99.9% chance Outlow stays committed, not that any other recruits would love BC or stay committed to it. So your criticism was pretty far off-base. But, what is a message board for.

But for my error, the point was that using a number like 99.9%, when you're just making a number up, is stupid. But no big deal.

So your telling me if an SEC or Big Ten come calling he tells them to buzz off because he loves BC?

Tell me about how BC lost Stewart two years ago and how last year they lost Issacs to Maryland. So don't tell me how safe BC recruits are or how much they love BC.

I think Daz may turn out to be a very good hire for BC. We'll just have to see. That said, GDF left a train wreck of an athletic department behind and it may be years before that gets fully addressed. UCONN addresses its current conference issues and lands in the ACC or BiG it's game, set and match for BC. The playing field is leveled and UCONN rolls. It's no more complicated than that.

As for the whole big-back thing, it's way over-rated. Does Size Matter For Running Backs? It's great to have a bigger guy for short yardage and goal line situations, but they limit your offense, and their ability is limited. They're not as agile, quicker, or more productive. Smaller backs average more yards per carry, fumble less, and have the ability to stretch a defense with their speed. We've had enormous success with smaller backs. Let's focus on the O-Line, because without them, it won't matter.

I was looking at this years NFL Draft prospects, specifically the RBs. Of the 55 RBs listed, 9 are 6' or above. Only, 4 of the 9 are projected to be drafted. One of those 4 is Marcus Lattimore, who is recovering from knee surgery.

That's exactly what I'm telling you since he's already turned down sec and big 10 schools. You can't compare either of those situations to these. We always knew Stewart wanted to go to UF once they turned up the heat he was gone. Isaacs was recruited by spaz who probably didn't even know who he was and that's all that needs to be said. Addazio is going to continue to recruit Outlow and any other commit as if they aren't committed. I don't think there's going to be as many decommits anymore you know never but I don't expect Outlow to be one regardless.

I don't know if there's any way to say that (the 99.9% part) for sure. Are his ties to BC any stronger than Aaron Hernandez's ties to UConn were when he verbal-ed here? Probably not, yet many of the same cast of characters who are interested in Outlow chased after Hernandez, and he ultimately made what he felt was the best choice for him and his family.

It's obviously far more likely than not that Outlow goes to BC based on his verbal commitment (it would be an interesting exercise to see how frequently recruits commit to one school and attend another). However, it would be naive to think that if he's that good, significantly better programs won't give him a call or that he won't pick up the phone when they do. That's why they call it a verbal commitment.

there seems to be some question to actual offers vs interest and verbal offers to come. interesting. its not a big deal. hes a top prospect and its clear from the tape. good luck to him.

Is anyone else calling BS on all these schols actually offering him? Are any of them looking at him as something other than a RB? I just don't see how you have that much interest and decide to go to... BC?

Like in the movie when Thomas Andrews told Ismay ... " She's made of iron, sir! I assure you, she can... and she will. It is a mathematical certainty." ...
