OT Where is the best burrito in CT?

Like I said, go in and check out the menu boards for something they custom offer there that is not listed online.

Ask for both the red and green salsas to dump on top.
And if you are daring, ask for their homemade Habanero salsa for the real tasty heat.
The combination of those 3 dumped on a burrito is something else.

• owner is on the front lines
• enchiladas and birria tacos are awesome
• inexpensive, especially if BYOB is your thing. Previous visit had a bunch of Woodstock Treehouse in the cooler.

Going to have to try the Mil Sabores.

Went tonight, since I live near there. Burrito was superb as was the oxtail/chicken soup special and the flank steak empanadillas. Fun place on a Saturday night.

Yup... Didn't want to put them on blast, but whoa... It's been several days, and I still feel a little off. The quesadillas there are pretty good, but I mean, how hard is it to do a quesadilla?

Even if it's good food that's how I am now. Last time I went to Mexico it took me a full week to recover. I love Mexican and Indian food but it destroys me now.

I usually have a pretty good stomach w/ most stuff. Eaten many times in Mexico with hardly an issue.

What exactly did you eat.

It was a "steak" burrito. Just not good at all.

Go in to order for first timers because they offer a bunch more than the online menus that are written on boards

I like Salsa's 3 in Middletwon because it is close.

Total dive feel, but the ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles were norm and spicy salsa.

Not authentic Mexican, but TJ's Burritos and Coffee in Bloomfield is really good.

Also, Salsas 3 in Middletown.

There are no "authentic" Mexican burritos anywhere. Mexican burritos are small things with mostly just meat. The things y'all are talking about came from the Southwest US, and fist-size ones from the SF Bay area. If you've had a large burrito with a butt load of fillings in Mexico, it would be because they're catering to US tourists.

Best I had in CT was from the Green Grunion food truck in Danbury. It was also the only burrito I've had in CT.

I'll have to check this out. I'm in PO Square every week.

My go to in Farmington is Puente Pub in Unionville. All their food is great.

Agreed - you don't go south from Nogales, AZ into Mexico town of the same name and find anything close to a burrito.

Understood on this point but to me burritos are like chicken parm, authentic in the home countries? No, but American Mexican food and American Italian food have perfected these arts and they are now my favorites

I getcha ... hits differently to each as I love travel, meeting people, local culture, food, architecture, etc.
