OT Where is the best burrito in CT?

There is a Salsa 5 with the same logo as the one that's been posted on this tread, might need to check it out.

Do it.
Like I said, go in and check out the menu boards for something they custom offer there that is not listed online.

Ask for both the red and green salsas to dump on top.
And if you are daring, ask for their homemade Habanero salsa for the real tasty heat.
The combination of those 3 dumped on a burrito is something else.

Anyone with a recommendation in greater Hartford? I got nothin
Don Taco in Plainville.
  • friends and son loved the burritos
  • owner is on the front lines
  • enchiladas and birria tacos are awesome
  • inexpensive, especially if BYOB is your thing. Previous visit had a bunch of Woodstock Treehouse in the cooler.

Three Amigos is my go to, but I will admit they don't seem to be the cleanest establishment and that always makes me nervous. Haven't died yet.

NOT the one I had the other day from a place in East Hampton. I'm still recovering from that disaster.
Talking about Pollo Loco right? I’ve lived in East Hampton for over 10 years and have always heard awful things about it. Said f it and gave it a shot couple months ago. Legit one of the top 5 worst meals I’ve paid for in my life.

Fuego in Cromwell has been open for about a year now has excellent burritos and really good Mexican food overall. Then again, it could have been the four margaritas that I partook in!

Yup... Didn't want to put them on blast, but whoa... It's been several days, and I still feel a little off. The quesadillas there are pretty good, but I mean, how hard is it to do a quesadilla?

Even if it's good food that's how I am now. Last time I went to Mexico it took me a full week to recover. I love Mexican and Indian food but it destroys me now.

I usually have a pretty good stomach w/ most stuff. Eaten many times in Mexico with hardly an issue.

What exactly did you eat.

It was a "steak" burrito. Just not good at all.

For the central CT area look of Salsa's and find the nearest one to you.
Go in to order for first timers because they offer a bunch more than the online menus that are written on boards

I like Salsa's 3 in Middletwon because it is close.

'La Placita' is another little gem in Middletown for a stacked burrito and other delicious Mexican offerings.
Plus a mini-grocery for all of your home cooking needs and desires.
This hombre knows ball

Anyone recall the Tacocorral in Manchester, CT?

Total dive feel, but the ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles were norm and spicy salsa.

Burritos, enchiladas, tacos, all as good as my time in Mexico.
