Mi Rancho is good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.That area has a few solid spots, have not found a great option yet in bridgeport area though, will give this place a try
Yes.Any places that had a movie made about it 40 years ago per chance?
I've lived in the Danbury area since high school in Ridgefield. Then in Danbury in apartments after UConn and now in New Fairfield. New Milford is an easy run up over the lake and it has some really nice spots.@80shusky
I love new milford. Parents moved there in late 80s and I graduated in 93.
I have been here, I seem to remember them being an absolutely absurd sizeRincon in Norwalk.
The whole area is very underrated for food.I've lived in the Danbury area since high school in Ridgefield. Then in Danbury in apartments after UConn and now in New Fairfield. New Milford is an easy run up over the lake and it has some really nice spots.
Try ground bison, typical burrito seasoning (cumin, paprika, chili powder, oregano, salt, pepper). Brown it. Dice some peppers, onions and jalapenos and cook them down with the bison. Add a little tomato paste towards the end. Throw it into the carb balance with a little reduced fat cheese, a red salsa and light sour cream. Filthy macros and tastes great.Mostly I make my own burritos. Leftover protein (chicken, steak, pork), some seasoning/sauce that fits with the original seasoning or my mood, black/refried beans, rice on occasion, cut up new potatoes or for fewer carbs, just more beans. I've done verde (best with chicken), red chili/hot or mild, BBQ, Buffalo/blue cheese, Cajun, Thai, whatever mood strikes you. Then I use the big Mission low carb burrito wrap, which is inferior from a taste perspective but half the calories and carbs.
Can you get a "better" burrito elsewhere? Yes. But mine are pretty good and fit my mood. It's such an easy thing to make. I don't put lettuce in one. If I want lettuce I just make tacos.
A buddy of mine lived in Mexico City for a few years. He said restaurants were judged off their enchiladas suizasI always judge a place on their enchiladas. Burritos typically suck IMO.
Depends on how it is served. If it is served with a sauce or cheese on top, I use a fork. I have also had them served as hand held.Do you consider a burrito, hand food or do you use a knife and fork?
