I think this thread has kind of devolved into people's top couple of albums mixed with albums people think should get recognition. Not that there's anything wrong with that :). Good to have a refresher or get exposed to new music.

I had to make an account after years of just trolling to say how has no one mentioned this album? I'm part of the "younger crowd" but still old/young should listen to this album.

RHCP is my favorite band, but for me, BSSM, Californication, and By the Way are running out in front of Stadium Arcadium.

You know your old when your first RHCP album has "Yertle the Turtle" and "Catholic School Girls Rule" on it.
And its vinyl.

Glad to see so many people enjoy the RHCP. All the albums are great, Stadium Arcadium just happens to have approximately 600 songs on it.

I'm starting to believe the only people who don't enjoy them are part of Al-Qaeda .

A rarity--a studio double-album without a lousy song on it.

Thats funny brother swami.............most rockers of the 70's-80's wouldn't admit to how much they enjoyed the different Elton John songs but there's no doubt he was a great one. A chick brought me on my birthday and I kinda laughed but she was hot so I said yes, maybe the greatest concert I went ot as far as pure entertainment top to bottom. The Live Funeral for a Friend is my favorite concert song ever with Green Grass and High Tides a close 2nd - both at the HCC............

Never got a chance to see either, Brother Mau. But I taught myself the piano part to Love Lies Bleeding, and was able to hack away at SOME of Green Grass and High Tides Forever.

His best, hands down. Don't give me "Songs in the Key of Life." This album seethes.

I discovered this LP much later, I have to admit, for a year or so, I thought "higher ground" was a Red Hot Chili Peppers original...
