Agree, that was an awful experiment. Stupid course, awful greens.

They removed 15,000 trees in the last number of years it sounds too.

There is not a flat spot on those greens. Easily top 5 toughest in the country. You can play a US Open
anytime on that course, anytime. Pick a day.
 
Kind of amazing to think Dustin may just choke the least.

Members say that the greens are slower during the US Open than when club members play. That's probably not entirely true, but I know a bunch of folks (non-members) who've played there and they all say it's like putting on glass.

Disappointed I've been here 14 years and still haven't met a member who I could suck up to and get an invite to play there.

Westwood... holy hell. Dude could be 10 over by time this is done. Thought he had an excellent chance coming into today.

After last year, can see Dustin backing into it at the end. Lowry bogey or something on 18 to give it to Dustin

Seriously WTF is that? So DJ has to play the rest of the round with the possibility of a one shot penalty hanging over his head or am I not understanding?
 
Lowry had a ball move on the green and immediately calls it a penalty. Dustin has a ball move and says i didn't do it.
 
USGA isn't going to find enough penalties for 4 strokes.

Congrats DJ. You overcame the weekend choke.

It's not only ridiculous to play with a potential penalty hanging over your head, but when your partner in your twosome totally fell apart, you didn't go down with him.

DJ shoots a 68. My generic prediction held up. Unless they give him the penalty.
 
Great win for DJ, he should win a few more majors. he finally got the monkey off his back.
 
That final round was a snooze fest.

I'm on vacation with wife and three other couples. All four women were amazed she was wearing a dress that short and thought the cameraman was a perv for following her up the steps with that ass shot .

Oh by the way, all four women watching with us quickly identified her as wearing a white thong with that dress.

It's Fox. Even my wife kept asking why they kept showing people chewing their food, and picking their teeth. Low class direction and production.
 
FOX improved from last year in a big way, which left them just hideous. Buck is awful as the lead, arrogant as usual and likes to listen to himself too much. Thought Zinger and Faxon were better than Norman which was the improvement. Holly is just a figure to look at, though a solid look mind you. Mark Brooks was a hack and Flesch was only ok when he got to talk. The old pro and the designer were ok but brought very little.

CBS is the king and NBC has Johnny.

Thought Fox did a really good job this year. The shot tracer technology they have blows NBC and CBS out of the water. Norman was horrendous and is just a pompus d bag so replacing him with Faxon and Azinger was great, and not having Curt Menefee anywhere near the coverage this year was major step in the right direction.

Also, any golf tournament when you do not have to listen to Johnny Miller is always nice.
