OT: The Song Game

As fine an example of great power pop that exists... which begets another:

Way Down Now, World Party
Besse Banks - Go Now
The original version (written for Banks by her then Husband) that was covered less than a month after her release, by the Moody Blues.

Your guys call which song to follow, @KingConn got there first as I got distracted by actual work in middle of my post.

I'll take a self-imposed suspension till 5pm...

Ummmm ... I think there was a double use of the word "way" above. I'm going back to Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way.

The Cyrkle - Red Rubber Ball

Freaker's Ball, Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show

btw, the title is simply "Freaker's Ball", not what's shown on the video, so "Freakin'" and "at" are verboten...

Jesse Thomas - Lookin' for that Woman

Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman

The Cascades - Rhythm Of The Rain

I expect better than "the"...

Purple Rain, The Waterboys

I was going to drop some Cowsills out of spite here but thought better of it. Steve Wickham's fiddle carries the day - if you've never heard a Prince guitar solo played on a violin, you've been missing out.

In both cases it was in the name of the band, not just the song, so...

Ok, not one of my better transitions.
