OT: Springer putting UCONN baseball on the map

Serious question: Can any school match us when it comes to putting legitimate star players into so many sports?

MLB: Springer
NBA: Kemba, Andre, Rudy
NFL: Byron Jones*
NHL: Hopefully Tage Thompson
MLS: Andre Blake, Cyle Larin
NWSL: Rachel Hill
WNBA: Too many to count

I feel like Michigan or Ohio State must be up there, but am not sure.

*I don't know anything about football but just assume Jones is a star b/c he was a top draft pick.

He's not. Cowboys fans hate him because he's not a playmaker, but he is a solid safety, who does his job.

Arizona State and Fresno State probably have the best MLB/NFL/NBA active trios besides us. ASU has Dustin Pedroia, Vontaze Burfict, and James Harden. Fresno has Aaron Judge, Derek Carr, and Paul George. Next up I'd say LSU with all their baseball and football stars, plus Ben Simmons looking great in the NBA

Also have Melissa Gonzalez who was captain of the USA field hockey team last Olympics

UConn baseball's been on the map for a little while, now.

Trick is going to be keeping Penders around.

Another dinger for springer. What about this. If Houston wins tonight he has as much claim to the series mvp as Correa and altuve.

If Houston wins today does he get MVP?....or does that honor go to Altuve (ugh) because he is the bigger name?

.-.
Springer has hands down been the best player in this series, his slugging percentage is like .1000.

Well I'd say if the Astros hang on here then he has the MVP award locked up.

He just set the record for total bases in a series i believe.

.-.
Well if Houston holds on - that's gotta lock it up for him, doesn't it? Double and run scored in first. Two run bomb in the second. Done and done!
